This is the same unit that Penneys/Dockers just gave away. Maybe they had too many?

Isn't there a deal that if you add a subscription, the price is half-price, or is that only Sirius?

These were $99.99 a couple weeks ago (buy one get one), and went down to $49.99 last week. A new version is supposed to be coming out soon. Still it is a great unit.

This is a very solid receiver (I used to own a Roady2 before moving to the SkyFi2, back when the R2 was $129.) The recent Docker's deal was a promotion which required you to buy a lot of Dockers... if I recall correctly, wasn't it a $200 purchase to get the free R2? I could be off on that.

They had another promo recently where you got a free R2 when buying any other XM receiver... the catch was that you had to activate service on both, and maintain it for 3 mos. This is just a straight-ahead deal, no rebates, no activation, nothing. A great find.

Second receivers are $6.99/mo--they call it the family plan. First receiver on the account is $12.95/month.

I've been with XM for nearly two years, and it's the best entertainment dollars I spend. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I've been with XM for nearly two years, and it's the best entertainment dollars I spend. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I would pick this up for my car if i didn't have to pay another $7/month to use it. I have the skyfi2 (sp) for home use, love having XM.

You must not drive much. I started off that way with the SkyFi1 and a boombox. After about a week, I had to have it in the car.

Have you looked into getting a car kit for the SF2? You can find them for as little as $40 now, and just move the receiver with you. This is what I do... I have the cradle in the car, a home kit in my office and home, and a boombox to go portable. XM 24/7, heh.
