FIXED!
XM has the most commercial-free music. they also have something like 5 country stations, they have numerous talk stations, and several hip-hop/rap/urban stations.

According to who? My kids always want us to listen to Radio Disney, so I hear the same teeny-bopper songs over and over all the time on THAT channel, but when i listen to other stations, I hear a large variety of music.
OP: http://lineup.xmradio.com
They have MLB and Hockey. they also currenlty have Nascar, but I believe that contract is expiring in 2007(?). they offer exclusive Indy racing, and the NCAA games (basketball and football, at least--not sure what else)
You also mentioned comedy--I think there are 4 comedy channels, plus High Voltage 202 which is home to Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez. both of these shows are talk radio in the style of shock jocks. (For lack of a better way to describe it)

I've had XM since 2003. I like the service, have never had any problems with it, and overall, think it is a good service. What is really funny is that the people that try to tout Sirius use Stern as their one and only argument. Stern sucks--when I was abbout 15, I thought he was funny. the kielbasa queen...stuff like that was edgy and hilarious. Unfortunately, I grew up and he did not. 20 years later, he is just a slimeball perv that doesn't do anything except objectify women as sex objects. perhaps that is why so few subs were gained when he actually made the switch.

I mentioned that I don't like the annoying repetitive stuff. You mention repetitive Disney crap and Nascar- cars which go in circles for 300 miles.
I did not mention comedy.

I find it funny how the only knock anyone can find against Sirius is that they don't like Stern. I got it and haven't listened to him for one second. Sirius has superior rock and metal stations, and the comedy stations are much better. That's what sold me on it.

Sirius subscribers, on the other hand, were heavily motivated by the arrival of Stern. Overall, one-third (32%) of those who now pay for Sirius list him as the key factor in their decision. Other reasons include the music channels (19%), and commercial-free programming (12%).

Sirius has a better comedy line up, but they added talent to their uncensored channel the guys from Sopranos, and Jim Brewer. That killed it for me. I don't like listening to them, I just want to listen to standup.
XM has 3 comedy channels, but their regular comedy and uncensored stuff isn;t as funny as the stuff on Sirius. They added a New Canadian standup channel, but for some reason I was never able to tune it to them.
Sirius has the Playboy channel for free (you have to activate it through the web page) and Maxim Radio kicks ass.
My vote goes to Sirius.
The thing that really made me switch was the $500 lifetime of radio deal which ended. But now even if my radio breaks 3 times which runs out my $500 lifetime sub, I can still get service for $6 a month as an add on radio.
