I got the exact same combo from fry's Bay area around 3-4 weeks ago for $159. The XP2000+ that i got was retail box. The board is very stable and is oc'd at 142 fsb. I replaced the stock AMD HSF/Fan because it was idling at around 48 degrees. I replaced it with the 'golden gate' HSF from SVCompucycle and now idles happily at 38degrees.

Again, my experience with this board and cpu combo is very positive.

Actually, the title doesn't say it all, at all. This deal isn't at any Bayarea Fry's to my knowledge. The deal they have at the five stores, according to the SJ Merc, is the bare XP 1800 with the MSI mobo, (I think it's the MSI), for 119.99.
So this deal may be in SoCal, AZ Oregon or Texas for all we know.

I currently live in Sacramento, CA and previously leaved in the Bay Area. The Sale ads for Fry's are not always the same.
I remember a couple of months back purchasing some Mushkin memory for $59 in Sactown and figuring that I would be going to the Bay Area and would stop in at the Fremont store. The memory was $6 higher.

I also at the time picked up a CoolMaster HHC-001 for $22 at the Sacramento store. The Fremont store did not have it on sale, but the manager at the dreaded podium gave me the option to buy a Thermaltake VOLCANO 6Cu+ for $9.99.

I thought it was weird that the entire chain does not run the same add.... I guess that?s where the term YMMV comes into play.

i went to my fry's to get this deal.

got it.

the only problem is that i don't want it...

i got an AROIA chip...

the board is a preused board...so i don't like that at all. hopefully it will still work.

anyway, anyone wanna take this off my hands? just pay me for the price i paid for it, tax, and shipping. and $10 for my troubles (which includes packing material).

lmk...'cause i'm going to return it this weekend if no one wants it
