I built one for a customer, they are fast as hell, but, IMHO, even for the die shrink run kind of hotter than I'd like even with the Swiftech, and I couldn't do much as far as O/C'ing at all with the one I had anyway..........if you just want a fast chip and aren't worried about O/C'ing.........................they're fine!

What MOBO would u reccommend for someone who is not overclocking and look for stability. I need to build a system for someone and he is not interested in overclocking. I haven't been reading much into cpu's and mobo's for a while...

i would get the epox 8k3a+ (or for that matter most any kt333 board) 8k3a+

the epox board is fast and stable... if you want a board with tons of features you could look at the soyo dragon ultra (based on the kt333 chipset) dragon

I got an ASUS A7V333 and it works fine for me. It can overclock really well, from what I've read, but it's a perfectly stable board if you're not overclocking. Plus it has a lot of nice goodies (firewire, USB 1 & 2, RAID, etc). THe only thing that's mildly annoying, I'm used to it now, is the long boot up process if you have the RAID controller active. But all RAID boards are like that, I suppose.

What's faster this a XP @1.8 or a P4 1.8A?

Granted at that speed the athlon is faster, but the p4 can easily overclock.

I run a 1.6a overclocked to 2.24. I wouldn't be suprised if the 1.8 get's 2.4 easy and maybe higher into 2.5.
