XP 2700 and 2800 to be launched the 1st?

Hypothetically it would help AMD keep pace with Intel in consumer *mind-share*, but doubtlessly it'll be a blatant paper launch if indeed it does hit.
We're all still waiting to see the much vaunted XP2400/2600+ in the DIY market, it would be a sad sight were we to see a paper release of the XP2700/2800 before the XP2400 was even widely available.

I'm still waiting to see the 2400 or 2600 in ANY market. Compaq/HP, MicronPC, Falcon NW and Alienware and still are not shipping them, and these are the people who are supposed to get the first shipments. We'll probably see a P4-3.06HT on the streets before a XP2700.

eh, it doesn't give it much of a boost in preformance tho. but like everyone else has been saying... the real question is will amd go for another paper launch? i would really hate to see that.
