XP How do I?

How do I manually place items into XP's Start button such as the start up folder?

Also where do I find the XP Power Toys? and I had no luck with the faq's

The easiest (but probably slowest) way is to drag the icon to the start menu. Keep holding the button down, wait for the start menu to expand. Then expand all programs, then Startup. Drag the icon into that menu and release the button.

Each new Operating System that comes out is supposed to be a step forword. That is a step backwords.

What ever happened to the neat little feature in Win9x 2K that let you add programs to the start menu?

If you want to use the Add/Remove feature you can go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, click the Classic Start Menu button and use the Add/Remove feature. As you are exiting just click the button back to Start Menu so you don't actually switch to the classic mode.

Okay, then. Go to C:\documents and settings\all users\start and drag shortcuts in there then.

Geez.

Or you could just drag an icon onto the start button. But you can't put icons on submenus that way.

just tried it and typed what U did in your post "power toys xp" and got plenty of links
