I have no idea why, but My computer keeps freezeing up....not when i do something inpraticualr...just out of no where it will freeze. I know im not being really specific...but i dont know much myself right now. Anyone got any ideas of why this could be happening? (ideas to help get more specific?)

XP used to freeze up/reboot on me randomly too, and for some reason I got a hunch it was my sound card. I was right. That's not to say your sound card is the problem, but I would assume it is hardware related. Isn't XP fun?!

EDIT: Sorry I can't really help you any better, I don't know too awfully much about computers =p

In my experience with XP freeze ups, it seems to be linked to hardware drivers conflicting with each other. But specifically related to nic cards. Do you have a nic? If so, pull it and see if your freezes stop.

If you don't have a nic, I would still suspect conflict. It's a pain, but pull all cards except for the video and put them back one at a time to see if you can get it to freeze.

Did you add any new periphrials?
did you update any drivers? Has this problem always existed or is it new?
This information is necessary to help you

850 Duron @ 910....

i'm assuming that is a FSB OC to 107 MHz.

Depending on your board and RAM, this may be pushing the limits of some device... (especially if you have an older chipset)

Try running at "stock" 100MHz. FSB and see if this makes your problem go away.

Its most likely that the hardware is having conflicts, and therefore freezing ur computer. Has nothing to do with XP itself (I think)
