I haven't seen numbers like this before in any NT based OS's so I thought I'd post here to see if there is an explanation for these. When I check the performance tab under Task Manager I see the following:
Physical Memory (K)
Total 523760
Available 357968
System Cache 349796
If you add the available and system cache you get 707,764. Either Microsoft has changed what they consider to be "available" or the system isn't adding properly. My Windows 2000 SP2 computer has figures that make perfect sense, as do my Windows NT SP6a computers. Does anyone know if this is a bug or a feature? It looks like it has to do with having 2 users logged in at once, but I'm not sure. TIA.
