I would like to further say that I ran my copu through WGA, and the key picked up as a RETAIL key, not OEM or otherwise, and it determined it to be a legit key.
If this is the case, then retail keys are resaleable..I think.
After reading the OEM licensing issues from one of the links provided on this thread, I am coming to the conclusion that its safer to buz a OEM Win XP Pro.
Like the one selling at NewEgg for $140 would be a pretty safe buy.
The OEM licensing clearly states that its bound to the motherboard, however if the mobo get bad and then Microsoft will provide another kez for the replaced motherboard, XP combination.
However if you are just replacing the motherboard (i.e. its not defective) then they consider it as a new computer system and the license will not be given for that.
However I am not still sure about this particular deal from surplus computer. As this does not look like a OEM or Retail. Its kindof treading into pure illigal territory. But the good part is that its seems more closed to retail version (howver illigal).
