when you say you have 512MB of crucial DDR, do you have 2x 256MB sticks or one 512MB stick? with your nforce2 board, you should get two sticks of memory so you can tap into that dual DDR memory architecture. with just one chip, you are just doing single channel and not get the most out of the board. just some food for thought (and no, i don't work for the memory companies, hehehe)

Why "hurry?" I've checked twice over the last 15 hours and both times I could add 99 to my cart. They're loaded with these things. Since the supply is obviously not an issue, why is this chip $14 higher than a Palomino 2100+? They're gouging you guys!
Considering palomino 2100+ will overclock to about 1.9Ghz max, and the TBred-B's will clock to at least 2.1Ghz, and usually around 2.3-2.4, right there is a XP 2900+ - 3000+, so is it really "ripping us off"? You decide

Economics of supply and demand
If they offered both at the same price.. everyone would ask for the new one (duh!). But since they still have stock of the old stuff.. they need to get rid of it.. they aren't going to do that by pricing it any LOWER (than their cost). So they price the Tbreds higher to a) entice people that don't care about Palamino's or T-Breds to get the cheaper one and/or b) make up for any losses they may take by marking the Palaminos down in the near future.
PLUS you pay a little extra to guarantee you are actually getting the new Tbreds.. I've called so many other places that never sort their CPUs.

Sorry to diasgree, but not everyone would want the Tbred "B" because not all mobos support it. That fact should equalize any demand issues you raise.
So, REALLY it comes down to gouging. A 14% premium is absurd. The price would stabilize if everyone would stop "hurrying." Maybe then, Newegg would take a few seconds to type in the stepping code like they did with the AGOIA 1600+s.

Those of you OCed this CPU to 2ghz+, what kind of PSU you guys running with?
I am thinking about buying one.. but I am not sure if my 330w Enermax will do it. (I think my Radeon9700 is power hungry...)

I use a 330w Enermax and I'm right at 2 Ghz with this chip. Adding a Radeon 9700 Pro to the mix tomorrow so I'll let you know how it holds up.
