Oh, sorry. I didn't realize this was a PCI card, you never specified so I presumed it was an AGP.
I remember there being a few BIOS settings on Super 7 boards that would some times affect PCI video cards, but its been a while since I've messed with an old system like that: Read Around Write, Write Cache Pipeline, and a couple others. This was on VIA chipsets, I've never used an ALI chipset.
For what its worth, I built a system for a friend about 4 years ago, it used an i430TX PCI chipset and an AMD K6-2. Later, he wanted a better video card, so we installed a Xpert128 PCI and it worked fine on that system. Then he wanted a new mobo and faster CPU, so we installed a Soltek VIA 693x based board, a 733MHz Pentium III and more RAM. The Xpert128 worked fine on that combo, too. Win95C > Win98 > Win98SE.
