Why don't you call the 800 on the form and check? I believe this is the rebate people use to order the same card from Gateway for $84 after rebate.

That rebate has to be fake. They even got the dates wrong. It says it must be post marked by March 28, but the number date is 2/28/02

They are two seperate dates for two different events.

Thanks Sept1967!!! I almost jumped on the Gateway deal but when I saw this it made my day. Bestbuy has the card for $179.99 but I had a $50 gift card there. So I printed out the Compusa stuff, ran over to BB. Price matched the card, it cost me $107.49 out the door here in Towson, MD then minus the $50 rebate my final cost will be $57.49!!!! Maybe some of you guys with the $30 gift cards from the Geforce4 pricing error can get in on a similar deal. This will be replacing a Elsa Gladiac MX (Geforce2 MX @ 195/195). Thanks so much!

This is the same $50 rebate GF3 Ti200 that has been floating around several threads for the past couple of weeks. As posted earlier this is a Canadian rebate and is valid only with purchases through select Canadian resellers. You can still live in the US and get the rebate but you MUST purchase through the resellers defined by the program number. Visiontekl has never offered generic rebates on their products and all their rebate programs are program/store specific. Accorsing to Visiontek - "If it is not advertised by the reseller with the product then there is no eligible Visiontek rebate program offered for that product". You can call the number on the rebate form and ask the New Rochelle rebate center the eligible stores for offer #5733 or you can call VisionTek directly at 800-360-7163 and ask them about consumer promotion #5733. Making an assumption will leave you $50 poorer!

I bought at BestBuy B&M that definitely has the rebate- came up at register... but I was gonna return it and go with the Gateway deal- save a few bucks and avoid PM hassle, but if last post is true then $50 REBATE WILL NOT WORK WITH GATEWAY??? ANYONE?

I just talked to the rebate center and was told any restrictions would be spelled out in the terms and conditions. (No one in marketing was available at Visiontek). "Offer valid in Us and Canada." (Refer to T's and C's below).

Like LiverX, I also spoke with Wheresmyrabate and was told the same thing. I looked at the compusa rebate which no longer exist with the link given by evergreen 168 and it has the same offer #5733. Until things clear up, I am not opening my VisionTek in case I need to return it because Crapusa will charge 15% restock fees. If any can verify the $50 rebate is good with Compusa, please post it. Man if they reject the $50 with Gateway there will be a lot PO people.

It shows $149 at www.compusa.com and the rebate is in their rebate center, so this is definitely a valid Hot Deal (at least until the end of the day today it is).

Sunset Hills store in St. Louis has it in stock, others are all OOS.

depends what u r looking for in a video card. i think the 8500 is better in like 95% of all areas. if u can afford the extra $50... go for the radeon. if u are really penny pinching... get the ti200. either way, u will have a really nice card and a kick ass price. one more thing to note... the radeon needs no rebate. personally, i really hate waiting for rebates and if i had the choice, i would avoid them altogether.

just a note: do not get the Radeon 8500 if you need high quality TV-Out. reading through Rage3D.com, you can see that the 8500's have a lot of issues with proper display at resolutions greater than 640x480...

evergreen168's link just worked fine for me. it's indeed the same offer number (5733) from new rochelle. the layout is different (2 circles instead of rectangular). web site claims my local compusa has them in stock, and today is 2/28/02...i'm out the door, thanks everyone for all the info!
