Ok, i found a geforce3 ti-500 for 129 on a site i cant mention due to the rules, he has 1000, anyone think it is too good to be true, so far 113 people have registered to buy it, any thoughts?

"on a site I can't mention due to the rules" sounds like this is vague attempt at a promotion for an auction.

His friend will jump on and gank 500 of them in no time, sir...I used to always use Ubid...till some reports that they were price-fixing. Not that they do anymore, but never have I seen something (not refurb) that I couldn't find cheaper elsewhere....just my $.02; keep the change

anyone else find this post pointless? if you're talking about the xtacy on ubid, then theres 5, and bidding is up to 289 already. i'm not seeing a 1000 of anything.

uBid is a terrible company.

I bought an LCD monitor from them, a T86D from IBM (refurb) for under $800. It retailed for $1700, at the time. They then sent me a T85D (not the same, notice ) and I complained. Of course there is no support by phone, and I even sent them a nasty letter specifying that I know they have telephones, and since I have one they should use theirs and we can resolve things. They still contacted me via email.

Well it ended up they claimed they didn't have any stock of the 86s, which is a bunch of, um, stuff. How can they not have a product available that they are selling? They didn't claim it was a mislabeled auction. They said they didn't have any. Granted, I might have gotten the wrong thing but that meant they should have at least one item left (since it didn't get shipped) in their warehouse.

If you want my honest opinion I think they didn't replace it because they would've been selling under their cost. Is that my fault?

I finally got my money back (they did charge my CC) from them and will not deal with them anymore. Frankly, I don't have time to deal with their games; I recommend that you avoid them at all cost.

I don't think ubid is against to rules...but it's just frowned upon. And besides...ubid won't let those auction stay that low, what they'll do is, they'll extend the auction until it gets to a reasonable price for them.

I'm new to ubid, but I clicked on seller's ratings and this guy has none! Let's see, say 1000 people bid and he sells them for $129 ... wow, he could run off with $129,000. What kind of recourse to ubid buyers have? There's something about this that stinks! Come on, 1000 GF3's?
