Too many variations between the packing houses to give one a solid nod over the other, but with all things being the same, I prefer peppered bacon over regular smoked bacon.

However, due to the extraordinarily high sodium levels in most bacon, (even low salt) we've switched to <gag> turkey bacon...Once you get past the taste and texture...it's not bad. :roll:
