You can modify thing to get a bit more headroom but there isn't much you can do about the shoulder room.

Mine is useless in rain and cold weather. If I mixed them it would be chaos, adding snow or ice would be scary.

Mine is fine in the rain. You just need better wheels and tires. Those skinny things that the car come with are worthless.
