Had a car with leather once, never again. It cleans up easily, but over time you get the wear lines/cracks, and I got sick of broiling myself every time I sat down in the car in the summer time. I also slid around so much it brought back all of those fond memories of my family's 79 Impala station wagon with VINYL seats. Yeah, that's luxury at it's finest. I just scotchguard my cloth seats and don't use my car as a dumpster like some people and they look brand new.

We have leather in the wife's van. WIth three kids, two under the age of five, all we need to clean the seats is a wet washcloth.

Leather > Cloth IMHO. It cleans up easier, it more comfortable, and doesn't hold in odors like cloth. Those are the most important things to me.

If I were in some track car and wanted to be stuck in place leather might not be the best option, but I drive a car used to transport humans and occasional cargo, so I'm not going to make rice-based decisions.

I just bought my first car with leather last month and so far i love them. To cut back on the heat in the summer i bought these window sunshades

Cee Bailey's Sun Shades They cover the front windshield and the side windows to block out all the sun. Plus it keeps prying eyes out of your car. Each order is custom made for your car, each pane is just large enought to wedge itself in the window and stay put.

I ordered my car without leather on purpose, not much a fan unless it's a really expensive car or something.

Overall yaye. we have them in the "new" 97 maxima, but not in the 00. I like them, but i will say that on a HOT day with shots on they pretty much suck. They create a nice sweaty layer between skin and leather seat.
