Alois Ruf's company never built a 959-derivative.

lol @ RUF 959. It's so rare that it doesn't even exist!

You calling something like that "The Terminator" just adds to the stereotype of Mustangs/Cobras.

Not my call - saw it on many SVT forums and better explained here from the original prototype:

The 2002 Cobra Special was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2002 as the 2003 Cobra. It was formerly referred to as the Cobra Terminator, but the Special Vehicle Team decided to drop it because it sounded too violent, and they didn't want to pay royalties to the movie franchise.

My vote goes for a 03-04 Cobra. I have a black 03 coupe and its a freakin blast to drive. Just go test drive one, get on it, just a little bit, and you will know what im talking about. I've noticed that dealers are asking a lot for their Cobras but im sure you can talk yours down, I got mine for 25k, when the dealer wanted 31k.

Now that is great advice!!!

Live it up man.

Yes it would be. That's why I need some trunk space as well. I WILL have access to a Toyota 4Runner and a Lexus ES300. So If I need to move something big it shouldn't be an issue but I still need enough space to carry my tennis bags I'm seriously considering a 2001 M3 right now with CPO warranty and maybe a convertible if I can get it in that price.

Then I was thinking. Why am I trying to be sensible? I'll just do that when I'm older. I also found out that I can get deals on new AND used cars and ANY make also. So, new ball game.

For less then $30k, what car would best suite a guy that feels like he's going through a mid life crisis where NOTHING seems to be going right and everything seems meaningless!

Car has gotta be HOT looking of course! and MUST have a decent trunk so 350z ain't making the cut. A C5 vette but i'm not too into them.

So far a 2001 M3 is on top on my list!

that last thing you should be doing is going out and buying a car..thinking it will make you happy; because it will not. Do not make a big purchase like this with your emtions.
