Oh yeah, the 2005 Honda Civic LX! It's got amazing features such as: power windows, power locks, air conditioning, power mirrors, 5 speed transmission, and even a dome light. However, it really is a sweet car, and it looks pretty classy especially considering how cheap it is. I got the color Magnesium Metallic (or vice versa, can't remember), anyways it's a dark silver color and it's money. I got pretty much the exact car I wanted, so I'm excited. It replaced a 22 year old hand me down BMW 320is that was falling apart like crazy. It turns out a 22 year old BMW handles and accelerates about the same as a new Civic.

If your 22 year old BMW performed on the same level as the civic?

why did you not buy a used BMW, for the same price as your NEW civic?

I rather sport a 2000-2001 ish BMW then a 2005 Civic.

But I guess thats just my brain being dumb. Same price, better car.

Not being dumb, just different motivation. I wanted a inexpensive car, that would not cost much in repairs, and would last a long time. BMW is not that. Plus, I wanted a new car. I didn't want sloppy seconds. And actually, my car looks reasonably classy, at least I think. It looks like it was designed in the image of a 3 series. Plus with the gas milelage I get (32-40) it's pretty money.

No offense but I wouldn't call those "amazing" features

Obviously not, I was being a touch sarcastic. Your sarcasm meter likely isn't tuned fine enough. And actually, they are amazing features compared to my last car which had only a 5 speed

Pics?

I sadly do not have a digital camera, or I would. Pics that is, no rice is going near this thing. I'm a tall skinny white guy and I would have to kick my own ass if I did that. Here's the best I can do:

Change the color to magnesium metallic (top middle) and get rid of the spoiler

Woohoo! A small development in my life, in the past 45 minutes, just resulted me taking posession of a Civic of my own. For FREE! It's an '85 though. It's a DX hatchback, 5-speed, 12 valve, 230,000 miles, burns just a little oil (I've been told it might need a head gasket, but I'm not so sure yet.) I'm going to toss it on my insurance and go for a drive now.

EDIT: I'll take pics and set up a bbzzdd account. For a free Minnesota car, it's not too awful looking. The front seats are trashed though--I'll just need some seat covers.

EDIT2: Insurance added--a $95/6 month increase in my auto premium (just 50/100 liability and under/uninsured motorist; no collision or comp for this baby!)

Pictures: Taken, but no confirmation email from pics.bbzzdd.com yet.

I'm going for a drive to see what I've just gotten myself into.

EDIT3: I just got back from Christmas shopping--drove the '85 Civic about 30 miles in the process. Woohoo! At $0.00, it literally was a steal. It starts and runs fine, the brakes work, it doesn't shake at 70 MPH (the fastest I drove) or any speed below, it has new tires, and I think the gas gauge went UP instead of down . It is burning oil though. It's not supposed to be my nice car though, so I'll just deliver pizzas in the thing until it dies. (I've still got my '01 Mazda Protege, of course.)
