Shit, you guys dont have it easy ... Even the AI's seem to single you out
White Man Followed a Black Teen Into a Store and Cut His Throat
In other news... Being a Uniformed Police Officer while Black.
From the article:There they go depriving this lovely man of his Freedom of Speech, by allowing him to spew his hate and fear of the other and allowing him his sweet consequences of his Freedom of Speech. Do my fellow human beings not understand the simple fucking concept of "cause and effect"? I can't wait til the average IQ drops done to around 60 because then I will just allow the evil inside myself to come out.
Obviously, the security guard is a complete idiot if he doesn't realize that an on-duty police officer would be breaking the law by leaving his gun in the cop car. The guard should be arrested and charged with threatening a police officer with a deadly weapon, it's a good thing the guard is a white guy because if he wasn't he would be dead already.
Blacks are about 12 percent of our population, yet they commit 55 or more percent of the crimes. OF COURSE THEY ARE SCRUTINIZED MORE! Rightfully so.
This thread is for instances of black folk being harassed by LEOs exclusively. Also, please provide a link for your factual claims.

If only there were some solution to this :hmm:“I just don’t know them, and all I know is fear based information.”

Crossing a double yellow line while turning is an accident. Do it while being black and you get this from state trooper...

Artwater is a dark, glorified driveway.Since Atwater Road has no shoulder, Gillespie says he decided to continue about a quarter mile to his own well-lit driveway.

"He said, 'Why didn't you stop?' And I told him I was scared. I was afraid as a black man, it was unsafe and I did not want to get shot. And he said something to the effect, 'Don't give me that,'" Rodney said.
Rodney said the trooper, who is white, then pulled him out of the car and handcuffed him as three other troopers soon arrived shouting a even more questions as he calmly tried to explain that he lived at the home.

Pulling a wide right turn and crossing the double yellow?
I fully support pulling that guy over and issuing ticket.
Bullshit!
From the OP's article:
The Gillespies said the troopers initially did not say they had been stopped for crossing the yellow lines, only that the community had experienced an uptick in burglaries. Johnson also told them that he first spotted their SUV on Baltimore Pike near Harvey Road. That’s two miles from their house, which means they were being followed long before he was accused of crossing the yellow lines, Gillespie said.
“I think I was completely targeted,” he said. “This is a very nice, affluent neighborhood. A black guy driving. I guess he thought I was driving by myself and he wanted to follow and see,” he said, noting that his wife’s seat was reclined.
My comment should be interpreted as "I hate people who cross over the double yellow".
As for following an SUV for 2 miles
Baltimore Pike is RT. 1
Webb is off RT. 1
Is is less than 1/2 mile from the guys driveways and the intersection of RT.1 and Web.
State Police station is ON RT. 1 10 miles away from that turn off.
The guy was driving on RT. 1 which will naturally have Troopers coming and going since the station is right down the road.
If this is after midnight, then it would not be unusual to tail a car full of people because "drunks" and "boredom".
The Trooper could have been traveling behind the guy for miles and not even put a thought into the car or the occupants. They are just 2 cars on the same road. When the guy turns on the blinker, turn too because "why not?" It's 12:30AM Monday morning and no one is going to be on the road at that time.
Except the one guy in front who is now turning down Webb.
Being tailed late at night happens.
Pick a car, watch it for a couple of minutes, lose interest move on to something else.
If the guy made a sloppy right hand turn, with a cop behind him at 12:30AM in the middle of nowhere then that's something that is going to grab attention on its own.
Based on the info available..they would need to establish that the Officer identified the race of the driver (at night) while on RT 1 and then started tailing the car for me to give a crap about the car being followed.
Driving a quarter mile with lights and sirens flashing on that road is also a red flag. I'm not bothered by an officer giving a driver attitude when the justification of the stop is legit and the area is safe for pull over. That road while narrow is an ok spot for a pull over. It's a glorified shared driveway.
It's the interaction that pisses me off.
