25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery went for a jog.
He did not make it home thanks to Travis McMichael ... who has not been arrested or charged.

Gregory McMichael, a former police officer and district attorney’s investigator, told investigators the incident began when he spotted Arbery from his front yard “hauling ass” down the street.

McMichael told police that, because he suspected Arbery in a string of recent neighborhood break-ins, he summoned his son and the two men gave chase in the truck, Gregory McMichael carrying a .357 Magnum revolver and Travis armed with a shotgun.

The prosecutor in Brunswick argued there was not probable cause to arrest the McMichaels because they were legally carrying firearms, had a right to pursue a burglary suspect and use deadly force to protect themselves.

White People with Guns making Bad Assumptions. Sounds familiar.

I guess they already came up with a solution. Just need some good men to run them down as well.

Okay, so I live in California where gun laws are uh, different from a lot of the country. I understand being able to legally have a gun and give chase to someone who you believe to be a burglary suspect. How exactly is the deadly force justifiable if they're RUNNING away? I'll completely leave out the fact the "suspect" was black and white people shot him. Maybe that had zero to do with it, maybe if it had been 2 black people chasing and killing a white person who they suspected was a burglar nothing would have happened to them either.

Oh, I was posing a question, how is that self defense? I worked at a liquor store and was robbed at gun point, as the robber ran out I was able to grab the gun, in case he decided to come back. When the police came and we were talking, had I decided to chase him after he left the store and I shot him in the back. It could have gotten me in trouble for me because he was no longer a threat as he was fleeing. Sounds like if I lived in Brunswick not chasing the black dude who robbed the store and shooting him in the back could have gotten me in trouble. If you can no harm no foul shoot a totally innocent man, I suspect one who's guilty by law you gotta kill them right?

So like these 2 crackers shoot an unarmed man and because he was black, they not only won't get in a lick of trouble, but they didn't even get arrested? I wonder if the cops ended the talk by apologized to them for even having to question them about it. Jesus christ I'm glad I don't live somewhere like Brunswick.

call it the Trayvon Martin syndrome, see someone who is a minority you think is suspicious, chase and confront them and when they try to defend themselves, shoot.

I know all these words but this sentence does not make any sense.

You chased a guy so how is it self-defense?

What if the guy being chased was able to reverse the situation and kill his chasers is that self-defense?

Both can't be true.

Just so I understand this for the record,

In the United States of America armed white guys can legally chase down unarmed black men kill them and face no consequences?

In some Locations, apparently. If you feel threatened, you can shoot. If you think someone is a Criminal Suspect, you can shoot.

A Running black man is a Burglary suspect. Everyone knows this.

"According to neighbors, there had been break-ins in the area. Arbery was allegedly spotted at a home that was under construction before he began to run. 911 calls came in moments later.

A dispatcher on one 911 call can be heard asking, "and you said someone is breaking into it right now?"

"No, it's all open, it's under construction. And he's running right now. There he goes right now," the caller says.

The dispatcher then asks what the man is doing and the caller says, "running down the street."

"'A black man can be seen in the video running at a slow pace toward a white truck that is stopped in the middle of a country road. Two men are seen outside the vehicle, including one standing on the truck's bed. The black man seems to attempt to run around the truck, and the moment he clears the vehicle, a shot rings out.

A brief struggle ensues in what looks like an effort to control a shotgun, and another two shots are heard, according to the video. The runner staggers away and collapses.""

so he stopped to check the progress of a house under construction? seems that's all it takes to be called a burglar and sentenced to death.

That cannot and should not be an assumption.
If he was out for a run, stopping is not a sign of anything other than "he's not currently running"
"Stopping" could be nothing more than starting his playlist or setting his tracker or simply taking a quick breather during speed work.

Not sure if posted, but contains Video of the incident. Link-May be disturbing

Reminder
"The previous DA on the case was preparing to invoke Georgia’s citizen’s arrest statute to absolve the men of culpability in the slaying. "

In the days before camera's, this would be written off and the family of the deceased would have to listen to people call their son a "Thug" and a criminal.
Then they would listen to demand by "certain types of people" to deal with the crime in the "black community"
