The woman, identified by The Independent as Taila Rouse, said she saw the words “big Black woman” in the man's text message when she glanced over.
“He and his family went on and on about the woes of being stuck next to Black and gay people,” she said, adding that she saw him write that "he hopes airlines raise prices so these people get weeded out.”
That entire jail and precinct staff needs to go to prison for murder. No justification for this. Could have easily called his doctors office to confirm.while the state didn't shoot Dexter Barry, it may as well have by not giving him his medication for his heart transplant. he died after 2 days of being held in jail without his medication.

As a former LEO who happens to be Black, I can assure you this isn't easy to comment on. So many fellow officers have been stopped and frisked by cops in this country just because they can make no sense. My best friend a retired Chief, has to drive around with his jacket hanging in his back side window just in case he's stopped for some reason or another.

Racism is over in America Jack. We've had a black POTUS.That's crazy, I do find humor in the fact Bed Bath & Beyond's going out of business and a story like this isn't exactly how you want to be remembered on your way out. And people still believe racism doesn't exist anymore in America.
The story mentions $600 worth of stuff. I used to shop there, most things in that store are waaay overpriced, so 'too many high ticket items' in cart could be just about anything there. And $600 ain't gonna be much. Did they call to report them having 3 items in their cart?
