I accidentally plugged it in backwards and instead of generating electricity it sucked it all up and caused two very large blackouts all along the Eastern Seaboard. One in 2003 and the other in 1965! If you plug it in the wrong way, the counter spiral geometry is also reversed and upside down which causes the affects to happen at regular intervals in the past. Lucky for all of us, I unplugged it just in time to stop a stock market crash in 1929. After carefully going through the manual, I found a footnote on page 837 that mentioned this as a possibility. So, make sure you read the entire instruction manual and not just the quick start guide. Our past depends on it. Oh and by the way, don't plug it into itself either. I made that mistake too, and before I knew what had happened a thundering heard of boson's was rampaging through my apartment. They were cute, but they left a trail of dark matter "presents" in the hallway from my door to the stairwell. Try explaining that to the building super.

These things are hilarious. Is this some kind of inside joke by retailers? Or is this really for real? Like, really, over 7 grand (by the time you figure tax/shipping etc) for a freaking cable? lmao. Do people actually buy this?

I can ALMOST understand data cables, but power cables? As long as it's the proper gauge and has decent insulation, there's not much more else you can ask from a power cable.

You'd be surprised how much companies charge for simple power cables. I sell IBM storage and the line cord line item alone is a 5k charge. It's rediculous I know but no customer has ever batted an eye at that charge.

SAN storage is bad for markup. A typical SAN is soooo expensive, but under the hood it's not really THAT impressive. A 5k custom storage build probably can perform as well. But businesses always want brand names and support and are willing to pay anything.
