Sorry, but meh.

I don't want to seem like the asshole here, I just think that if it really mattered to you, you would have made the extra effort to flatter the girl (in person) :/. Either way, I don't think you can necessarily be pissed if she doesn't want to go. I think she was just trying to break the news as easily as possible. I'm sure you wouldn't feel comfortable going to prom with just anyone.

YOU'RE OUT!

Seriously though, she's not interested. Letting you down easily.

Guess we'll just stick to being friends...i just ended it...I'll find someone else, as they say, plenty of fish in the sea.

no, no, this is ATOT, haven't you learned anything? you have to start writing endless posts about her now.

I say don't talk to her ever again.

She is more concerned about hanging out with cool seniors than she is concerned about being a good friend (or more, for that matter).

She is most likely doing you a favor, seeing as though she is not worth your time if she is that pretentious.

Ask someone who you think you would have a good time with and let that girl know she'll have a good time.
Get turned down a lot, eh?

LOL I was thinking the same thing. This kid obviously doesn't know how to deal with females.

If it makes you two feel better about yourselves... go ahead and think that.
I don't get my female advice from tv ads and MTV.... I go on dates.

At least Howard knows the deal.

Saying she can't afford another dress and crap is just more B.S. I guarantee you if you go to that prom you'll see her there in a nice dress, with some senior and having a great time without you.

Funny you should mention that. It brings to mind a joke I heard at work the other day (it's probably a repost here but I don't give a fvck about you repost police people):

Q: What did God say when Eve jumped into the ocean for a dip for the very first time?
A: Oh great, now all the fish are going to smell like that!

Cheer up man, go get yourself another chick and hell, if she is there at the prom, ignore her. If she comes talk to you, say something like, "Oh hey I don't have time to talk right now, I have a date to enjoy." Yeah you heard me right.

I don't think OP was asking whether he should go to prom or not.

You have to have a zero tolerance policy on stuff like this. Say the OP decides to be a pvssy and go as friends with this girl, he'll just end up being the guy that's always in the friend zone.

Yeah she's just letting you down nicely. But seriously, why would you ever want to grad early. If already have the majority of your credits, just take all the random fun/interesting stuff that you'll never otherwise have a chance to do. Unless you hate you school that's just lame.

I was a pvssy when I took this girl to homecoming. Went as friends (she already had a boyfriend). Paid $200 for a fun day and a hug. Never again!
