Big brother is watching you.I've saved up some coin and i'm looking to buy a new firearm.
I'm on the fence between yet another big scary black rifle, or something more classic.
For a long time now I've wanted a high end .45 pistol. Something I could carry, but something beautiful. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind a M1 or another AR-15 (maybe one of those new ruger AR's).
Any suggestions?
I'm taking a more seriously look at the Springfield micro 1911 and the kimber ultra carry. I've also considered a colt lightweight commander. While I'm favoring a 1911 at this point, it doesn't have to be one. But if I go pistol, I want a .45
Currently I own the following firearms:
Walther PPS 9mm
Walther P99 QA .40
Walther PPk .380
Springfield XD 9mm (service)
S&W 686+ .357
A custom built AR-15
A cheapo WASR-10 (ak-47)
Ruger LCP .380
Ruger Mark III .22
So I think what I'm missing might be a nice high powered rifle or a .45
Owning gun/s is a right in America, but bragging about it shows that you are not mature enough to wield one.

Yeah, seems the thing to do with a lot of these firearm and accessories with 6+ month backorder is to order it, likely forget about it, then have it show up one day. Might as well get in the queue now if you really want it.i'd love to get a M1 Garand. Best place seems to be the CMP, but damn the waiting list is long! I've read that people getting the service grade rifles are very happy with what they get. seems to be the "best bang for the buck" out of the bunch.
New York is fucked, completely. And I live in upstate NY.
I know they have a ridiculous AWB and ban on "high capacity" (more than 10 round) magazines, but I was thinking that rimfire was exempt. Nope.
People always talk of California, but honestly I don't know how you can get much more restrictions than this, though the City has even more.
Seems like basically the only things I could own besides bolt or lever-action rifles is a pump shotgun or something like a Ruger 10/22 or Marlin 795 as long I stuck with the stock 10 round mags. Supposedly there are preban 20-30 10/22 mags out there, but I've seen none. And like with AR-15, I don't think it's a good idea because magazines seem to rarely be date stamped.
Sorry for the thread hijack. I look into firearms when I see threads like these, but the more you read these liberal bullshit laws, the more discouraging it is.
Wow, that's a lot of guns
