YAGT: Have a date, forgot the girl's name!

Not cool, I know. But I met a girl on OkCupid and have been chatting with her on aim all week. We're meeting tomorrow for dancing but I have no idea what her name is! I'm not sure if she even told me. Any clever way to get her name without embarrassing myself?

ask politely, how do you spell your name again? and if its simple and she says something like wtf why dont you know how to spell jane, say you saw it spelled weird the other day and jsut wanted to make sure

but we've been talking all week, even on the phone for hours.... I'll come off as a major douche if I just ask her, right? I mean, I am a douche for forgetting it. I searched my emails and have nothing containing her name.. ugh!

Do yourself a favor and find out her name. My story is as follows:

My fraternity was paired up with this sorority for Greek Week. Well we had started drinking at 8am on a Sunday morning when we met them, and most of us were already trashed by the time we went to Kegs and Eggs. In my drunken wisdom, I remembered that her name was either Laura or Lorie. I think nothing of it, and we stay friendly for the remainder of the week, not bothering to find out her actual name. We had a bar night with them and she winds up coming back to the house. We wind up getting more friendly, I call her the wrong name afterwards (it was actually Sarah) and she storms out of the house at 4 in the morning.

ok, got it - when she calls i'll say "hello? who is this?" because my LCD's busted anyways... i know it's important - i'll just ask her to call me or I'll be outside of the club so she calls, wondering where i am.. hmm.

Geez, just tell her you get so wrapped up in the topics of your conversations with her that you completely forgot what her name was.

Are you taking dating advice from sitcoms or something? Try to call her and get her message, pick her up at her place and look for magazines, tell her she doesn't look over 21 and ask to see her ID.

just did, crisis averted. If she doesn't email me I'll just flat out say I forgot her name - it's been a long week and she knows I had other dates this week, so i'm not pretending like she was all that's on my mind and such.
