Single shot? No. Semi auto.
Looks like? No. EVERY HK MP5 part is interchangable with this weapon.
Fail? If you dont like this sort of thing then yeah, you would think so.

Semi auto is the single fire trigger group.

It's a clone. Stop acting like you own an Heckler and Koch MP5.

Well if OP stopped to think about it, he'd realize it's not an MP5. Saying so is like saying a Meizu is a fucking ipod.

It might as well be because theres 3 options.

1) You spend tens of thousands and get a real HK MP5
2) You dont get anything at all
3) You buy a clone built to HK specs that uses some HK parts.

Thats it. There ARE no HK MP5's sold by Heckler and Koch. You cannot get one. Your ONLY option to buy a current "MP5" is a clone or build it yourself. So its easy for people who are ignorant to the whole HK issue to scoff and say "Well, thats just a clone" but really it just goes to show how very little they know about the marketplace.

The only thing available in current production is clones. And theres only 1 company making them. You go clone or you go home.

You can buy them. You'll spend lots of money because they rarely hit the public market. So to buy a clone is not your only option. I'm sure you already know all the rules and regulations so I won't bother to type them.

MP5s are sought after because they're full auto and burst capable. They're fun to shoot. I don't know anyone that would actually want to purchase a semi-auto only variant of an HK firearm in which the other variants are full/burst. So, to me, buying a clone of a HK MP5SF is just plain silly.

Sorry if you became offended by my rant earlier. Have fun with your 9mm rifle!

nice. i always liked the A3 with it's collapsing stock, and if you were gonna have a full stock, the SD.

I didn't look on around online, but do they make a ported 18" barrel that you could drop the outer tube system on so it would look more like an SD?

anyway, cool. enjoy.

Offended?? Did you forget who your talking to?!

Hey trust me, i wish it was full auto! I just dont have 16k to drop on a gun. As I said in my first post I was going to get a 9mm upper for the AR because I want to shoot something cheaper then .223 but for a bit more I can get the MP5 clone. Meh, why not? I have an AR, time for something different. I will also probably SBR it at some point, that long barrel really does like nasty.

As for MP5's, they dont hit the civy market. The 416 did very briefly but was pulled last I knew. As for MP5's? None I know of.....

This is my first HK, but I have a pistol that predates the HK roller lock mechanism and also was this close >< to getting a PTR over a AR. Glad I didnt after looking at the .308 costs.

Do YOU?

i always get a good laugh when i hear the words USP and compact in the same sentence. i used to have a USP 40 before the silly laws about mag size, but sold it. I have never owned any of the REAL HK family of weapons, but would like to, i would love to find an 94, or get my hands on a 91 or 93.
but i'm still looking for a steyr SSG 69, which i would absolutely love.

hey, i'll defend the USP. one of the most reliable pistols made. before the mark 23 was introduced into service, it was put through some of the most harsh tests by any pistol, and came out a winner in all cases. it's reliability, action, and ability to cycle ammo is incredible, and the USP is no slouch either. Sure it may cost a few hundred dollars more then comparable pistols, but you get what you pay for.

Then along that logic, nobody can come in here and say they have an AR-15 unless they have a true Armalite/Colt AR-15.

Yeah. It was my first handgun. I wanted something to carry and the full-size USP was way too big for a carry gun for me. At the time, during the AWB, there was only a 2 round difference between the USP and USP Compact.

I will put a CZ 75 series up against a USP any day of the week in a torture test.

I dont have a problem defending them either, I own a USP45 Tactical and its bigger brother, the Mk. 23 myself. I have owned other USPs in the past, but traded them off for various crap over the last few years.

The pinnacle of HK handgun technology was the HK p7 though.

But you can say that anyone bragging about owning a Colt AR is overdosing on kool-aid.

i gave up my usp for a glock 26, and i usually pack in 15 rd mags. it doesn't add too much size, and it feels much better balanced as a pistol.

but i've always been a big fan of HK. some of the best weapons made.
I would love to have a G36(k), esp the ag36.

Because according to the colt kool-aid drinkers, anything but a colt is not a "true" AR, since it is the only one marked "AR-15" on the receiver. Everything else would be considered a clone to them, even though an LMT or Noveske is far superior in terms of quality.

Pistols dont really count, because you can find HK pistols in damn near every gun shop from here to Canada.

I mean a rifle.
