now for real advice. my dad recently visited me the other weekend. he has am enormous belly, and has been a notorious snoreer his entire life. seriously; people usually leave the cabin to sleep outside when on certain cabin trips (sucks when staying at our floating shack out in the marsh...no where else to go except wade out to the beach and crash...which isn't half bad really)
anyhoo, he told me that he recently participated in a sleep study. they gave him this mask thing, which basically blows air into his mouth as he sleeps. it keeps his throat open, preventing that waddle, or fat or whatever they call it from constricting his trachea. he said that when they put him to sleep, it was the first REM he had achieved in maybe 30 years (he usually wakes himself up from snoring several times each night). he uses it now, and says it is heaven.
