Yeah, that's exactly what happened...

Well you come out claiming I am spreading only FUD, desipte the fact that there are plenty of youtube videos showing what I claimed as well as tons of people talking about it if you google the damn subject, and then proceed to insult me directly in the same post does make you come across as a fanboy.

I made a statement of the cons of Glocks. I stated why I don't like them and why I wouldn't buy one at their current price point. That doesn't equate to why anyone else would or would not want to buy one. Then you and others make posts insulting me without showing a lick of logic in what you are posting. Yah, that's practically the definition of a fanboy with their panties in a twist.

I get it, you like Glocks. Good for you. I get it you haven't had your Glock malfunction on you. Good for you. That anecdotal personal experience is great for you. That doesn't discount the evidence all over the internet showing that you can induce limp wrist malfunctions on various models of Glocks. That various generations of even the same model of Glocks have had different problems. It is what it is and no amount of disassembling by you or other fanboys is going to change that Glocks are not perfect.

You came in here with a bullshit claim about 100% failure.

Own it.

I have been rotating all my guns as I can. Well hand guns at least. Easier for me to schedule time out at bass pro shop. That and they let me use my own ammo and it's like $10 per half hour no matter how many guns I bring. There are other ranges here with strange pricing setups. Usually they either make you purchase their ridiculous priced ammo, or charge you per gun on top of an entry and time usage fee. Oh and they make you buy their expensive targets as well. One of the few places that doesn't do that is like an hour and a half drive for me to get to though. So I stick with Bass Pro shop. I can bring rifles, but shooting a long gun on a 25 yard range isn't really all that fun. I need to take out enough time to make the drive to that range further away to practice with the rifles. Or maybe go out to Hondo on some of my family's land out there.

Makes me glad I'm a member of my local gun club, $75 a year and I can use the range all I want, up to 300 yds but I doubt I'll ever go that far...and it's only 20 minutes away:awe:

Yah yah, rub it in.

I've been to this range here.

http://www.texasthunderrange.com/

Look at their prices.

$25 to be there (which went down it was $45 last month when I went). Must purchase their ammo. I went through 2 boxes of 9mm at $40 a box + tax. Ended up spending about $130 for an hour there.

DamnD:

Especially with the price of ammo now that would suck...before I joined the club it was a 40 minute drive and $15 an hour...I've never been anywhere they made you use their ammo though unless you rented a range gun

You could bring latex gloves to keep the junk off your fingers, but that looks suspicious as hell.

My range bag:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ZU3I2U

I actually picked it up for 12 bucks a couple years ago. Its just the right size to hold everything I need.

Inside is a Boresnake in whatever caliber I'm shooting.

http://www.amazon.com/Hoppes-24002-B.../dp/B0013RKHJI

By FAR the easiest way to clean at the range. It gets almost all the gunk out in one quick pull. I never leave the range with stuff in the barrel, that creates pits which eventually wear out the gun. Or at least the barrel, which tends to be one of the more expensive parts.
At home I clean with foam from a pump (Hoppes). It gets in there and does a great job, no scrubbing. Just use a rag to wipe it out. If I dont plan on shooting for a while I put on some sort of heavy oil and let the gun sit in its original case.
If I do plan on shooting again soon I just put on a dab of grease on the high friction parts. My favorite grease is the Militec stuff, different from their oil which is used for long term protection.

Also in the range bag I keep a small fiber optic light
http://www.flashlightsunlimited.com/images/PALight/PALFiberOpticTube.jpg
NOT what I use, but similar.
Its good for checking the barrel from the bore.

I have one of those small Molle bags/ pocket organizers with the small delicate stuff, as well as a little note pad for keeping track of my shooting sessions, and all my membership cards.

A small leatherman Squirt for basic repairs, anything major and I take the gun home.

A speed loader from Butler creek.
http://www.amazon.com/Butler-Creek-9.../dp/B001HBHNHE
Once you get the hang of it you can load a bullet per second. Its especially nice for my 33 round Glock magazine.

A bunch of mesh bags for ammo (from 5.11).

Old t-shirt for simple cleaning. Again, the thorough work is always done at home.

Winchester stereo amplified headphones. I keep the mic pointed behind me so no one can sneak up.

Prescription shooting glasses from Zenni. Actually, they arent official shooting glasses. Just high-impact polycarb which exceed the recommended ANSI standard, with a slight yellow tint. Huge lenses to cover me, much bigger than my normal eye glasses.

Wet naps in case the range is out of pumice soap.

I do not carry a spotters scope unless I also have a rifle, in which case I use a larger range back with more junk.

Oh, outside the range bag is a completely enclosed file folder for my targets.

Oh, and here's another place.

http://www.nardisgunclub.com/membership.html

$150 a year + $30 a month. That's just for basic prices. If you are going every day, it's a good deal. If you can only make it out once a weekend..... Not so good a deal. I shoot an hour every weekend or so. Missed a few here and there. 4 weeks a month means I spend about $80 at bass pro for my shooting time. If I miss a weekend then take $20 off that total. Lately the guys have been getting used to me and have been only charging me for $10 instead of $20 for the hour.

Good Lord. No gun manufacturer is perfect. If limp wristing is a big problem don't by a 17.(how many people CC a full size gun?) Buy 19 or 22. I've tried to limp wrist my 22 and can't do it. In the hundreds of qualifications rounds I've witnessed I've never seen one limp wrist. The course of fire includes weak hand shooting as well. To be more accurate it would be a Glock 17 problem, not a general Glock problem. Glock seems to have issues with the 17's. The Gen 4's seem to like throwing brass in your face.

For the record I'm not a Glock fanboy by any stretch, carry one because I have too. I'm a Sig fanboy if anything.

There is ZERO way to train yourself to fire a gun without limp wrist if the scenario has you pinned into a prone position and the only arm you can get into a firing position can only lightly grip the gun due to an injury. In that case, an owner with a Glock is 100% screwed.

THAT IS FUD.

Quit trying to say that you said something else.

Can you force a 100% limp wrist malfunction with a Glock 17 as shown in those youtube videos? Yes.

It has been owned. Can you disprove that?

I can force 100% of my bullets to go into the ground 3 feet in front of me if I try hard enough...what's your point?

(I can provide a YouTube video if that would suffice as proof)

Naw, it has nothing to do with that. Actually the Glock 19's have problems as well. Basically any of the 9mm and 45 acp glocks can be limp wrist malfunctioned if held just right. And any of the "compensated" versions as well. Now, if you use +p+ 9mm ammo in a 17 it's harder to induce that failure. Basically it's a combo of a very heavy slide, lower powered round, and very light grip frame. It is certainly NOT a Glock only problem. FNH has the same problem for example.

I just stated it was a con of their design. One can buy any of the Glocks that use .40 S&W and never get a limp wrist malfunction. That hotter cartridge prevents that even in the Glock design. Same with the .357 mag Glocks. However, I have a whole different attitude about "hot" rounds in a gun as well. I don't think they are justified for the recoil and other negatives about them.

I was just making a point of why I don't like Glocks and listed their cons. I wasn't expecting a couple of fanboys to jump down my throat and insult me over that.

THAT IS FUD.

Quit trying to say that you said something else.

You are saying there is zero situations in which you will never be forced into limp wristing while firing? And that there is always a way to fix that? Seriously are you making that as a counter claim. Because if you are I am about to stomp all over this post by you. Giving you a chance to clarify or take it back now.

Jesus fucking Christ...

Are you retarded? Serious question.

Lol, again with the insults. You certainly seem to be very good at this logical debate don't you? I asked you a straight forward question. I'll ask again and hope you don't insult me directly again.

Do you believe that there is zero situations in which you will never be forced into limp wristing while firing? If No, do you believe that there is always a way to fix that?

Answer the damn question instead of insulting this time or shut the fuck up.

So, we'll go with "yes" then.

Now I see why you got your ass handed to you so badly in your AR thread.

To recap:

-You claimed Glocks have 100% limp wrist failure rate.

-I called your bullshit.

-You tried to adjust the goal posts ("many does not equal all", "100% does not equal 100%", "some equals 100%", etc...)

-I called your bullshit *again* (do you see the theme here?)

-You try to twist the argument into saying that I'm positing theory about 0% failure. (???)

-...and here we are. (cause I'm certainly seeing a theme here...)

You're making this more complicated than it has to be, I'm just wondering if it's by intent or ignorance.

*You* said Glocks fail 100% of the time. *I* said they don't.

The one thing you and Shorty are forgetting, and I think it's very important, is a med/trauma kit.
