Not enough people care about hunting in California to stop this absurd crap. I bet brown signs it right on through and pretty soon online vendors will have a "will not ship to CA" note next to damn near ALL bullets and ammo. I swear, I never considered myself a political person in any way, but I fucking hate democrats to death now. They are like a bitch step mother who makes your life miserable just for the sake of doing so.

Americans still pay attention to CA?

Nope, but maybe they will pay attention when is spreads to their state. Over 20 states already have partial lead ammo bans for hunting. Its only a small step to increase the ban. End game = "Firearms just aren't safe or practical in a modern, highly populated society".

Hey I can see what you guys are writing

Supposedly Brown is "common sense" on gun control. We'll see.

Youd be a fool not to follow what goes on there gun wise. Its a perfect example of what control from one party pretty much uncontested can and will do. They have single handedly run their state into the ground.

And my bad on the 10/22's...i hadnt read the text of the bill but rather just news outlets verbage which is just "detachable magazines" with nothing about center fire..

On a positive...i got 1k ready to load (well after priming) 308 brass for a damn good deal today and ordered a type 53 to go into the archangle mosin stock i bought. 120 bucks for it and a bunch of stripper clips was a pretty good deal! (from J&G Sales)

New rifle that can fire 450 rounds per minute, and legal too = http://finance.yahoo.com/news/new-r...s-rapid-fire----and-it-s-legal-145153186.html

What do ya'll think?

Slidefire stocks have been around for years and are not a good substitute for full auto. Having fired both, I can say if I want to let a lot of ammo loose in a short period of time full auto is much easier to be "accurate" with as I only have to hold down the trigger - not bump my finger into the trigger using the slidefire, mangling any potential for accuracy.

Or you could buy a Geissele trigger group and get the same effect bump firing from the shoulder...

Agreed.

The original language of the bill defined 10/22s as an assault weapon.

BTW, the magazine ban bill (turn in or destroy all magazines with a body capable of holding more than 10 rounds, even if it was permanently modified to hold only 10) was defeated today!

I was getting nervous about the 200 AR15 mags I got!

All filled I hope.

Only 56 AR mags all filled. 28 per SAW can.

Same for 30 M1A mags, 25 G3 mags, and sadly only 16 AK mags. Need at least 16 more Bulgarian Circle 10 mags, but they are so awkward to store.

I would move before turning in anything gun related. Granted I'm from a very pro-gun state, but the thought of going to a government office and handing in something like that is just incredibly orwellian to me.

Shit would burn. There would be nowhere to turn anything in.

Yeah, California is well along in the process of going full-retard. Leland Yee needs to go, asap.

Ahhhh thought id saw the 10/22 somewhere! Gladly i wasnt totally making it up!

Was it defeated or just put on hold? Last thing i'd read was that it was just "on hold". Either way i think smarter heads won on that portion.....like how the hell would we enforce it when every gun owner in Cali probably has a "looks larger than 10 round" magazine in their possession

So I ended up taking the sr1911 to the range yesterday. Went through about 200 rounds of ammunition and didn't have any misfeeds or anything. So much fun! Breaking it down and cleaning it was easy (except when I was trying to put the slide stop back in. That took me a bit to get right) Overall, I'm extremely happy with this bad boy!

Went again to the range. Ran through about 250 more rounds of fmj and fired off a box of jhp to test them out. So far so good! Not a single problem at all. Cleaning went a little smoother this time. I ended up using an old tshirt which I cut into strips instead of the little cotton patches. So much easier this way.

The way this will go down is not with the government directly, but by them pushing companies to not allow them.

Already some major CC companies don't allow gun/ammo purchases.

Anyone have a S&W Bodyguard 380?

I messed with one at the gun store today. I really liked it. I wouldn't mind having a smaller concealed carry. I currently have a Glock .45 subcompact, but it is pretty thick and very heavy when the mag is fully loaded.

I like that the Bodyguard is double action only (DAO) and the hammer can be re-struck with another pull of the trigger if the round doesn't go off. The trigger pull was very heavy, but I think I would like that for a concealed carry.

I liked it better than the Ruger LCP. The Smith just felt better and more solid.

FTFY

Personally I would choose the M&P Shield over the Bodyguard any day. But if double action is really something you want then the Shield won't cut it.

The problem.with heavy trigger pull is unless you practice a lot it kills accuracy
