Because the firearm is functional. They won't replace it. "Unreasonable accuracy" is not a valid warranty issue.

Hmm, I remember when this was a big deal (it was right before I got my M&P) and Smith and Wesson was more than happy to replace barrels for people. The first and only time I send my M&P in they even asked if I was having accuracy trouble

I haven't read anything about S&W replacing barrels for anyone. :/

And I have $200+ in aftermarket Apex parts and trigger in my M&P that S&W would remove and not return if I sent it in for service because they're idiots when it comes to things like that.

I stopped at a gas station to get some smokes and a soda and it struck me to ask if they had any laser pointers ('Murica Fuck Yeah). The little Chinese impulse-buy $2 variety.

They did! So I taped the little disposable laser to my slide and have been using it to get a visual on what happens when I pull the trigger. I'm fine with 85% of the trigger, but on that last little bit that causes the break, the gun barrel bobs down exactly the amount you'd expect based on target I posted above.

It is because the break, while smooth and easy to feel, needs a comparably far greater amount of pressure to accomplish. Building that pressure does not throw my sighting off, but immediately after the break there is overtravel with no resistance. So I pull through the stiff section, it clicks, my finger quickly accelerates, and there is something in my grip that causes the gun to move forward a tiny bit in my hands. Firing slowly DOES make it happen more severely.

Totally adds up...this is why the other gun I've been shooting has gotten worse, too. Or rather, I've gotten worse with it. It's got SA with a little smooth takeup and a decently stiff pull, so it's not so much a difference in effort as it is that this trigger has no discernible feel of overtravel. Just snaps and I'm at the end of the trigger.

Guys I need an IWB holster that will conceal my P226. Need to have it by next week. Would Alien even be an option or should I just hit up Cabellas for a SuperTuk?

Any other options? Needs to conceal very well.

n82 Tactical original works great for me. Took an hour or two and it was pretty well broken in and has only gotten better the more i wear it. My XDs has one as well and after a week of carrying it, its been super comfy and i dont notice it at all. The Sig i notice a bit more just cause of the size and me being a smaller guy.

But it does conceal well. Wore the 226 at thanksgiving and brother and sister-in-law didnt notice. Dad noticed the next day when we were at Lowes and i bent over for something but even he commented it was only cause he knows i carry and was looking. Otherwise someone would have thought it was just a phone or something.

Both the ones i have ordered shipped quickly and i had them within ~a week with just the standard shipping. For the price of the original i have been super happy.

I have a N82 "Professional" for my G19 and it's very comfortable, but if you want the gun to be angled forward it won't stay there (at least for me). Slowly works its way towards vertical as you wear it a few hours. I prefer a Crossbreed but you aren't gonna get one of those by next week.

Also, thinking about getting replacement barrels for my Glocks (19/26) so I can shoot lead reloads. Is Lone Wolf pretty much the best option?

Comp-tac Minotar is my favorite by far but if you need it at the beginning of the week it won't happen. The Supertuk is one of the better mass produced holsters, you could do worse.

That's why the SIRT training guns are proving to be so popular. Dry firing and having a visual marker for what is happening is an incredible training tool.

I never fired it but i had a Lone Wolf threaded barrel for my glock 20 (yeah i was going to suppress it...then realized how silly a suppressed 10mm would be....then realized how much i dislike the ergonomics of glock lol). But i followed up with the guy i sold it to and he said it was just as accurate as the glock barrel. Thought it was possibly more accurate but he wasnt the best shot to make the determination (words from him!)

ps....you can run lead bullets in a stock glock barrel. just have to be a bit more careful with it. Like only using light to medium loads and cleaning it after every shooting. Also seems like 150 rounds is around the mark when people get build up of lead. Same you would want ot slug your barrel....if i remember right (and i might be mistake) often like bullets sized to things other than the more standard .356 diameter (for 9mm...just an example).

So kind of up to you...bit more research, safety, and cleaning or spend some money on the after market barrel and dont worry about it as much

Not really. It's fine, but Storm Lake barrels are held in higher regard than LW barrels. A notch above that is KKM and Bar-Sto.

OK I got an extra week before I needed the holster so I ordered the Alien one. Hopefully they work as well as all the reviews say.

I'm setting up my lightweight Daniel defense m4 like a recce build but for small target paper punching 50-400 yards. I figure a 2.5-10x scope would be decent for this range and use. Is the nightforce nxs compact a great scope to save for, or is it all name brand? At first I was looking at swfa, but 10x is useless at 50-100 yards for getting on target quickly. I'd like matching reticle and turret for ranging. Looks like a vortex PST 2.5-10x32 would be an economic choice, but I dont mind spending more for better so long as it isn't heavy like us optics, s&b, and other nightforce options.

I left work early today so I drove around to 2 WalMarts, 1 Academy, and 1 Dick's. Also, one local mom and pop store (fairly large size and has been in business for over 20 years).

Walmarts = zero 9 mm, not even a box of any type. No .22LR either, not a box. A lot of rifle and shotgun ammo (all kind).

Academy = some boxes of 9 mm but expensive HP types. No .22LR at all. A lot of .40 and .45 plus rifle and shotgun ammo (all kind).

Dick's = this was the worse one. Almost barren without anything on the shelves but rifle and shot gun ammo. Oh, and no AR15 on display but cheap bolt rifles and shotguns.

Local store = Nice friendly clerks not much on 9 mm ammo but HP and some boxes of reloads. Handguns are as expensive as other big box stores.

Did not buy anything but one box of Hornady HP 9 mm Critical Defense, 25 rounds for about $24 out the door from Academy. I am envy at some of you guys' Walmarts with good inventory of ammo.

I don't know which state you are in, but I've found that Maryland has much more ammo at decent prices than no. Virginia.

looking forward to a review on it!

I don't do stupid video reviews but I will be brutally honest.

There is a good chance I am going to have to spend a lot of time in inner city Cleveland. I'll have to dress business casual (to work in the ghetto?) but there is no way I am not going to carry while I'm there.

Check Gander. They used to have bulk Blazer all the time for an ok price.

Gander Mountain? We don't have it around here. I just check their website and the bulk Blazer you talked about is about $0.34 per round of 9 mm ($120 for 350 rounds - shipping is free).

Don't feel bad. I've never bough fresh ammo in person; only reloads at the range. Its not even worth my time to go look.

I do have some luck with the local Academy (on and off). I have about 1K of 9 mm rounds for about $0.30 per round out the door (Winchester brand). Not great but not bad either.

I am down here in Northeast of Texas. I even crossed into Northwest of Louisiana sometimes (only about 15 minutes of driving) to check out other stores. I think I have better luck to find a unicorn in pink color than a box of .22LR in person .

The nightforce nxs 2.5-10 are great scopes. Durable, well built, solid, and overall well regarded as quality scopes. They have the 42mm objective which is newer and is what i would go towards if picking one up. Better in low light. Power throw level for easier changing of magnification. IMO for the upper-mid to upper tier they are sort of the (whats the word) common name out there. People just hear nightforce and think quality. And thye are right.

The vortex viper PST 2.5-10x32 is a good chunk cheaper. But it is FFP, has a good reticule (imo), and a killer warranty. People love rate the glass highly for the price point the scope is at as well. Vortex has really made a name for themselves by offering very good glass for cheaper than others and also a pretty much no questions asked warranty.

Really you would be happy with either. If put side by side in a blind test some people would like the pst better and others the nightforce. Really no way to tell without seeing them side by side. HOWEVER most people agree online that you would be happy with either one if you bought them blind as well. You really just have to look at the features and see if one offers something to make up for the added price or if the PST is going to do everything you want.

I have two vortex scopes but not the PST series. I love my 2.5-10x44 viper HS. Clear glass and great price for it. The basic Viper 6.5-20...im starting to see the flaws in it as i am slowly starting to outgrow it a bit for my precision shooting. Still a great scope though and clear glass as well.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, it does help! I guess I have two choices: "ultimate" setup vs. "Good enough" setup with $1000 worth of match ammo.
