Now hold on there Festus this aint the old west any more...:whiste:

Could you just imagine if there were high capacity 9mm or 45acp guns back in the old west...? LOL... Wonder what the "Cowboy" version of an AR15 would look like...?

LOL... Looks more like something Mathew Quigley would have used... But I doubt a 38lb cannon would have been the tote around weapon for the typical wild west hand...? I mean like crap just one can of 100 rounds ammo weighs 40lbs too...

Oh noz... Just need a Cyldesdale horse...

Carry you the gun and the beer... Win...win...win...

I saw a group of those up close. I'm not a big fan of horses but those things are beautiful. Should be considered something other than a horse. A tiny mustang doesn't even compare.

Dear God, please don't talk horses.

When people start talking hands you will just comment: "Horses don't have hands, they have hooves."

Please sit down.

Nice looking collection Bartman39. Is the SR45 new? The only gripe I have about mine is that there isn't any discernible break in the trigger. You pull the trigger and bang With my PPQ and P30L I know when it is going to go bang. The SR45 will take some getting used to.

Thanks (to embarrassed to show the rest of the dirty dozen)

No not new but from what I can tell it does not look to have been shot...? Very clean for sure but if it has been fired it wasnt much... I got it from a local friend that I had helped make a trade for... They traded a Spikes Zombie lower with enhanced trigger assy and color fill for it in a straight trade with 3 boxes of Winchester FMJ... I finally got them to sell it to me for $300 and offered 4 boxes of 9mm FMJ for their 3 and we had a deal... If this silly weather would clear up I would go shoot it and check out the trigger...

Jesus...the beaver tail is well spoken about. I am assuming you never got pinched by a gun (*edit* I was looking actually at ammo burns on youtube, my fiancée keeps getting rounds down her shirt ) yet (although I am sure you will have stories about that soon).

The 1911 is a full-sized gun, the beaver tail is comfortable and practical. I would love to own a $2000+ 1911 one day. I am happy with my CZ P-01 for now.

here is a quick qoogle: http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=219384

Ive read great things about the CZ's

they aren't exactly cheap either

I got my P-01 for a little over $400 a few years back. I think I've seen them recently at over $500, so they're not expensive, like Sig or H&K.

I'd love to pick up a P-01 for $400. But SIGs and HKs can be reasonable as well, if you shop around. My NIB P226 was $625, and I've bought used ones for under $450. Retail is usually in the high $700s for standard models and high $900s for fancier ones.

HKs are more expensive on the low end but less expensive on the high end; about $600-$900 for everything but rare models.

CZs seem to hold their value well. And I see very few used ones come up for sale (I've been looking for a deal on an SP-01 for a while).

Umm, so, the ocean?
Deep sea?
What do you catch?

Or rather, what do you fish for?
:sneaky:

Striped bass, croaker, bluefish, spot, from land; large bluefish and striped bass from boat. Had a great year, biggest catch was a 38" striped bass on a charter. Got enough fish to last until next spring

That's a racket then. It really just depends on the store. At one time a salesman was trying to sell me on a CZ-97. I think they were asking about $700. I was advised against it by friends. Seemed like a nice enough gun, just not at that price.

you must be looking at custom shop guns then or your dealer is a greedy asshole.

yea...I did some quick Googling after the p01 was posted and none of them were even close to that price.

Maybe it was tricked out or something?
