I don't carry my gun nor OC spray daily. I always have my knife and my skillset. I am not going to try to win a fight, I am going to get away from a fight.

Most of you esp carrying at work and at places that forbid weapons are why we have issues with gun ownership.

Weird, I usually carry my gun but leave my knife and skillset at home.

We have issues with gun ownership because of lunatics going on killing sprees and people who know absolutely nothing about gun. Knowledgeable, responsible gun owners aren't the problem. I don't consider a gun owner to be irresponsible just because they carry a weapon into a place that's "forbidden" since usually those are the places you're most likely to need it.

Seriously? I've never heard that before and can't imagine why it couldn't or shouldn't be reused...well unless you stake it that is
Mine was staked, but whoever did it (CMMG bargain bin rifle, the lower is Doublestar) didn't do a very good job. I took mine off to replace it with a Magpul ASAP and didn't stake anything putting it back together. I'd never stake it in a future build and would just use loctite instead.

If there's even a small chance of wanting or needing to unscrew your castle nut in the future you don't want it staked. I read somewhere recently that companies are moving away from staking everything (I'm assuming because people are wanting to disassemble and replace parts).

Not just that; the most catastrophic failure of an AR15 leaves the bolt jammed back in the buffer tube. You can't open the gun to clear things up, so you have to remove the buffer tube. Easier done without it staked.

My AR15's castle nut was staked, but I replaced the plate with a QD point and didn't restake. No issues with it coming loose.

How do you leave your skillset at home?

We have issues with gun ownership because of lunatics going on killing sprees ... ...SNIP

One part of it...but that works like DUI law that so many here go insane about. It's a Red Herring.

SNIP... I don't consider a gun owner to be irresponsible just because they carry a weapon into a place that's "forbidden" since usually those are the places you're most likely to need it.

OK wow just wow. I am thinking most here would be disarmed by the actual perp that got around bringing a gun to begin with and take that gun away from those here.

Huh? How is a perp going to disarm those who are concealing? In WA, a sign on the door saying "no guns" has no force of law, unless it's a school or federal building. I can carry whereever I damn well please. If asked to leave, I must...but I am guilty of no crime.

It was a joke. Most people don't talk about carrying their skillset around with them.

The only people that get disarmed are people that are afraid to shoot. That's one of those liberal myths about guns, "it'll just get taken away and used against you."

I carry at work, that makes me a bad gun owner? Even though it's legal? And permitted?

Fucking tool.

Because it's relatively easy to remove a gun from a person's hand or body that has no idea about true conflicts.

Most of those that train physically would say in close quarters (like at your local store with Joe FannyPack) a knife is a more dangerous weapon than a gun.

Do you walk around with your hand in your jacket or pocket or behind your back because you can carry despite signage?

This is not even a coherent thought. Jesus christ. It's like you're seven years old.

Yes, I only since I have turned older now. Prior was my martial arts and knowing how to fight, then OC sprays (Fox 5.3) and finally a knife (whatever was legal at the time and locking / one handed release).

I don't carry my gun nor OC spray daily. I always have my knife and my skillset. I am not going to try to win a fight, I am going to get away from a fight.

I am sure based on what you post you live a sheltered life and most of your experience is simply dry-firing.

Most of you esp carrying at work and at places that forbid weapons are why we have issues with gun ownership.

It's really funny you are going into specialized clothing for this.

You're off ignore just so I can own your bitch ass one more time.

You have already said that you don't have a carry permit and you only own one gun. You are a lying piece of shit and need to quit posting in this thread. You know less than shit about anything gun related. Post a pic with your gun collection right now. And put today's date and a little note to me.

You can't fight worth shit. You are too roided up move. And your mom jeans wouldn't let you be any kind of flexible. You are a weak piece of shit.

Uh, no. You have to spot it, and then you have to get to it. A lot harder than you think.

Uh, what? I'm not moronic. If I carry, I don't touch the gun. I dress to not print. And no, I'm NOT the reason we have issues with guns. I carry wherever I damn well please that's legal, and no one ever knows the difference.

I will just say this on the discussion:

Criminals look for soft targets. Weak people, alone people, old people...people who are not native to the area.

Life is not a Steven Segal movie. If a criminal sees someone OC, they will move on to find another target.

I recently OC on the Vegas strip, by far the most crowded place I have done it, and not once did I ever feel like someone would try to disarm me. Hell, I only saw 2-3 people notice, and one was LVPD.

Close. It was 125 after paying off the county sheriff and the L1 fingerprint dude. Lifetime is great and I don't even need to carry the license on my person.

And no duty to inform.

Shoot mine was like $20 for prints, $150 for the class and $110 for the license. It's only good for 4 years and then I get to do it all over again.

Plus I have to inform. Plus carry my license and ID.
