So I got some kind of cool news. Recently, I got my first gun: a used Glock 19 gen 4 with some bells and whistles, including Ameriglo night sights, extended slide release, and a 3.5 lbs "ghost trigger" mod.
Well as it turns out, the "ghost trigger" was actually my noobish understanding of the mod. "Ghost Trigger" is an aftermarket product, whereas I thought it was just a nickname for a lighter, 3.5# trigger. Someone at the range who competes in GSSF matches took a look at my gun and said I actually have polished, Glock-OEM, 3.5 lbs trigger parts from a gen 3 G34. So the end result is that my Glock 19 is still reliable, plus it's still legal in the non-unlimited divisions in GSSF matches. Not that I'm ready to compete or anything, but it's cool to know that I could if I wanted to. Sweet
In other news, I got a free 3 hour lesson with Travis Tomasie. Holy crap, that guy is good. Not only is he a great shooter, which everybody knows, but he's a fantastic teacher. Go see him if you ever get the chance. Good guy in general, and he's pretty sharp, to boot. It's not often that you meet an athlete with a level of diction beyond that of some college professors.
