PSA started their BF sales today

I just ordered a Century VZ-2008 (CAI's version of the VZ-58) that's coming in to my FFL on Friday. It's my first carbine and from what I've read, it's an improvement on the AK-47 in most ways while still firing the easy to find (for now) 7.62 x 39. Bought the rifle, 5 mags, a mag pouch, cleaning kit, and sling for $417 shipped! They sold out of that option, but PSA has a BF deal with the rifle and 3 mags for $397 shipped.

Because the VZ-2008 holds the bolt open on an empty magazine, AK mags are not compatible, so the 5 mag deal was probably better.

I was thinking about getting that same one, less than $400 shipped but the compatible issue with regular AK-47 mags is holding me back.

And PSA is selling out a lot of items already, especially 9mm ammo.

I was hoping to find a decent AR-15 for $500 shipped. Black Friday - nothing. The used market is stupid; people are asking higher prices than new. Oh well.

I heard that PSA had a complete rifle in their Black Friday deals for $450.

You can't do it with decent AR (shipping and FFL fee) for $500.

You can get PTAC line from PSA for about $500 but not PSA (their standard line).

I think it is PTAC and not PSA. I could be wrong.

I pieced together a complete PSA upper and lower, two mags, and a carry handle for $604.45 shipped, plus $10 FFL transfer. Sitting in my shopping cart right now. Should I get that or a Bushmaster XM15-E2S for $620 - $50 MIR = $580? The price difference is negligible to me, but I'm asking more in regards to quality at this price point. A noob.

Thanks

I don't really trust bushmaster

my PTAC M4 has been flawless, with a lot of compliments on the quality of the pieces, considering the price.

it shoots pretty good, and hasn't had a single failure, even though I run surplus steel cased shit through it all the time

sure its not chrome lined anything, but I keep it clean and am not a warfighter overseas so...

Here is my take (PSA standard line)

Lower $130 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/1213/category/4433/

Upper w/ BCG and CH $340 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/inde...ped-upper-with-bcg-and-charging-handle-1.html

Plus $35 shipping = $505 then you have to add $15 FFL fee for a total of $520. Not bad for a decent AR15. Price can be lower or higher in your case (shipping and FFL fee).

I do not have any personal experience with Bushmaster but I will pick PSA anytime. I have a Pmag edition PSA AR15 with extra (rail, NiB BCG, CHF barrel, upgrade stock, red dot, etc.) for less than $1K total and I was happy with it. Quality/build was excellent. Scroll up a few pages and see the picture.

If you like Bushmaster, why not get a Windham? They are the same folks as the "original" Bushmaster company.

Well, I made my purchase! I got the same upper you mentioned, then went for this lower for not much more. Combined with 3 cheap mags and a carry handle, I'm still happy with the price and reported quality.

I just got back from my friendly FFL. Two pending stamps came in today and my trust is now the proud owner of a SilencerCo Saker 762 and a SS Sparrow. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow. Also submitted a Form 4 for a Liberty Mystic today and recently was approved for and finished building a 300 blackout 8" SBR.

Gonna be fun times ahead!

How did you create the trust? Been seeing that gearhog has been running sales every so often for one for like $59-69, but dont know anything about trusts

I had mine prepared through Arsenal Attorneys:

There may be better options depending on what state you live in. Edit: you are also in PA. You might also want to consider prince law (link below). A good friend of mine had his done through them and I know that they get excellent reviews on the PAFOA forums. It was a bit more expensive than mine ($600 vs $400).

Really depends how indepth of a trust you want. If you are a single person just wanting a simple trust so you can get NFA items....you shouldnt be paying over 100 bucks. Some dealers even do free ones (mine did) for basic ones. Since its just a cut and paste job for them its pretty easy.

Now if you want to add other crap into your trust (ie other guns, family members, who gets what type stuff) then go for a nicer one.

I just ordered a TiRant9 and TiRant45 "buy one get one free" deal. Im not even sure why since i have an osprey45 already. Might have to finally build a 9mm AR

And i REALLY need ot check on my SBR. Been way to long and no approval yet. Dad submitted 1 week befor eme and got his in mid Sept. I havent gotten aything yet >.>

Bought another Glock 27, this on for my wife. She decided she wanted something smaller and lighter than the Sig P239 that she stole from me. Only thing is she wanted to stay with a .40. I have a G27 but she didn't like it because her pinky hung off the end.

Went to the gun shop and browsed. Smith Shield was to big. She didn't like the Khar's, still don't know why as they were perfect for what she wanted. She liked a Sig and the G27. Thankfully for my wallet she chose the Glock. I'll order a pinky extension for it. With the blue label price it's about half of what the Sig cost. I took it out Thursday during some downtime at work and gave it a test run. Shoots as good as expected.

Got a Marlin 336W today. 30-30 lever action, with about 100 rounds of ammo. $300. I thought that was a smoking hot deal. Merry Christmas to son #2, going hunting with him tomorrow morning.

Dang, that looks like a good deal (the Gearhog one for a $59 trust). I'm considering creating a trust for the acquisition of a suppressor. So for the Gearhog deal, I'm wondering after you order the trust and complete it, you just turn in that paperwork with the suppressor paperwork?
