I did check out some 9mm Walthers and they were nice in my hands but expensive, all of them were over $600 and more plus sale tax.
The PPQ probably has the best "hand feel" of any of my firearms; and it's great to shoot. Absolutely love that gun.

Here's a question to the guys with some knowledge of mil-surp rifles: Where do you recommend I go if I'm interested in picking up a Karabiner 98k? I did a search on Gun Broker and didn't see a single one. There's Yugo Mausers available and I've considered just getting one of those, but I'd really like an actual K98k.
^Don't like AK quality in the $500 range? why not?
All ready for the range this weekend:
For around $500, I will have to get AKs from Century or ODI or some other of-brand companies. I think I will pick PSA over them quality speaking. I do hear good things from Arsenal but I will not pay over $1K for an AK.
What kind of AK is that in your picture? Brand and price if you don't mind telling.
Well that gives me a little hope. I think I've seen them at a couple of guns shows years ago but I haven't in awhile. Do you recommend gun shows then?Plenty of K98Ks around, just get a run of the mill Russian Capture and call it a day.
Don't forget to order ammo as well since it's not as easy to find commercial type ammo locally like it is for Mosins and AKs.

Dang, very nice! Guess I'll just keep lookin. Thanks for the info man.Yeah, just be careful. The K98K is one of the more popular rifles to fake in to an all matching rifle, they're worth a lot more when they match vs when they don't.
All the gun shows I've been to usually has just 1 guy with his overpriced K98K collection, I've bought all of my K98s through forums/gunbroker.
My All matching (transposed bolt) non-import mark 1944 K98K.

I finally got the RMR for my FNX. Now to go get it zeroed...
Looking good. Should be fun to shoot, too.
I went to a local gun show yesterday, was underwhelmed. Did pick up 1000 rounds of CCI MiniMag 22LR pretty cheap which will keep my plinkers happy.
That AK one is very cool. I'll have to watch it when I get home so I have sound. I didn't realize the piston hit the gas block (sometimes). Was that just because he had the gas tube off probably? Maybe it's explained in the video.Wake up people, almost 1 week with no post?
Here is a good one. AK74 in action and in slow mo = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCgmfbAbP-Q

Wanted to like the FNXs but the serated grips were a dealbreaker for me, and for a firearm that's supposed to be a 'clone' of the Sig Sauer P2XX series it felt nothing like one or even a Sig SP2022.
