From buying all the recent purchases through the gun store side of my local ace hardware, I earned a ton of ace rewards points. They all came in today, and since I can not spend the points on firearms, I can spend them on firearm accessories. Ended up getting this brand new Magpul D-60 this afternoon with the points, showing itself off on my latest build -

Just picked up 1500 pieces of mixed, cleaned 45 ACP brass for $70.

Already have the dies for it, just don't have an upper for the Glock frame I bought, LOL. Keep waiting to find a used Lone Wolf long slide.

Have been watching TiborasaurusRex's sniper 101 on you tube, would love to know what in the hell his background is. The video series is amazing. I could do without the Christian stuff, but whatever floats your boat...

As I understood it when I was researching that AK63d, they are built on Hungarian parts kits. Is it actually more like a yugo? I am not too versed in AK variants.

Sorry my bad. For some reason I was picturing the N-Paps and such when I read the model number, the Hungarians are pretty too. The Romanian builds are still generally really ugly .

I have a Romanian, Bulgarian, and Polish.... Both the Bulgarian and Polish are much prettier than the Romanian on the parts that are actually surplus.

That is a good deal. Unfortunately, all of my glocks already have night sights added to them. I wish that deal included suppressor height sights too.

Been a while since i've posted in here. I think i'm dropping .40 as a caliber and getting rid of my M&P. Was going to replace it with a Ruger GP100.

I also drank the PSA kool aid again and got another AR......I need a rear sight, and I might change the foregrip. I already have a magpul moe on my other one, so I'm looking for a decent cheap quad rail

Did some light ammo shopping this evening after finding out about a local sale where some ammo was mis marked. They advertised $16 a box for blazer brass .45 acp and $58.97 a box for 150rd packs of federal m855z went to ring up the 5.56 ammo and it came out at 48.97 a box by mistake. I had to do my duty at that point and clean them out. 33 cents a round for federal green tip and no shipping was worth it.

I was originally going to buy some of that, but the local stuff is M855, and the PSA sale is for XM193. M855 usually is more expensive, and has the 62g green tip SS109 bullet. XM193 is the 55g FMJ. Nothing wrong with either, but a while back when the ATF said they had a proposed rule to ban the sale of the green tip stuff, people went nuts on price for it. It has normalized now, but it is nice to have a bulk supply of it on hand.

Me too. If it gets as bad as it has in the past, I should be able to fill up 10 of the cheap $6.99 D&H mags from palmetto with some of that M855, and hopefully sell it for $1500 to some sucker in a panic thinking he is getting a good deal.

Holy crap, the 110BA is big, need to mount the scope, and finish the reloading bench so I can make some ammo for it.

I sort of infected my FFL guy, he ordered a Mossberg MVP LR in 308 for himself.

So I won $25 GC from BassPro and I went to the one in northern Louisiana. I picked out 3 boxes of .223 American Eagle full metal (20 rds per box) for $9.99/each and 1 box of Winchester ZXZ 9 mm full metal (50 rds) for $15. After a $10 off $40 coupon and the GC, my cost was about $13.xx (including sale tax). Not too shabby.

.22LR ammo are available now but the prices are a bit higher.

$3.27 for a box of 50 CCI or about $0.065 per round plus sale tax at WalMart. Limit of 3 boxes.
$8 for a box of 100 CCI or about $0.08 per round plus sale tax at Academy. Limit 500 rounds.

PSA had CCI on sale yesterday for $25 for 325 rounds of CCI plus free shipping if you buy 4 boxes or more but they sold out so fast.

Our local shop has been able to keep 22 shells in stock fairly regularly. Few weeks ago they got in 1500 bricks of federal auto match, and a bunch of 1400rd buckets. I got some, but I am mostly waiting for mini mags to be available locally in quantity.

You know, I was watching a guy on you tube talking about how perhaps the average concealed carry pistol really wasn't up to the task that people might really experience...

Would you really go after an active shooter/robber with a shotgun or an AR with a subcompact pistol? You going to shoot them in the back at close range? I'd run and hide if I could. Maybe Hollywood has too big an influence on what we decide to carry.

Dunno, just thinking out loud I guess....

Nice S&W, they can really make some sweet handguns, I love their revolvers, but don't own any.

A poor choice of words on my part, just thinking of how a compact pistol isn't an optimal weapon to protect yourself if the aggressor has anything other than a pistol.

Just trying to justify trying to carry a custom 6" barreled Glock 21 with a long slide and an extra magazine
