Finishing up a project, just ordered a Lone Wolf long slide for the Glock 21 frame I got a few months ago, ordered all the internals and a set of fiber optic sights to finish it off. A couple of magazines and I'll be set.

A family member passed away.

He had a few handguns. The one that has the most sentimental value, since it has been in his possession for decades, and was the first firearm I fired has been hard to find. I finally found it tonight.

It's a Ruger .357 blackhawk which I'm keeping in the family. The Kimber .45 ACP pistols are probably going on sale. Maybe the 5 inch barrel Kimber won't be sold.

I agree this one has a 6 inch barrel. It no longer has the stock wooden grips that I remember but rubber contoured grips which may be better in the long run for the range.

I'm really glad I found it. It was starting to bother me that it might have been lost for good.

I'm looking forward to taking it to the range soon.

Yes, I'd be willing to bet this coming weekend will be one of the busiest ever for gun sales, the guys on the forums are almost to the one going to put off other purchases and buy an AR15 with their next paycheck.

If it follows the pattern, guns will all get bought up, then ammo and reloading supplies. Depending on how the election goes, it could get very ugly.

For the rifle with the drum, how did you attach the pressure pad to the handguard? I've got one (pressure pad) and it's attached to my vert grip by a couple of pieces of black rubber band that I had laying around and amazingly enough were the perfect size. Works well but I was just curious how you did that.

All of the complete cheap uppers (less than $200) and lowers (less than $140) from PSA are gone, except the ugly pink color and the one with no dust cover and forward assist uppers.

.223/5.56 ammo are still $6 a box but no free shipping. Better get them while you still can for now. Will be hard to get a complete AR15 for less than $500 soon.

I didn't realize they were under $500 as it is. I think the cheapest I've seen is $500, but then again I'm not real up-to-date on prices as I don't seek them out.

Good idea on the ammo; I should make a Cabela's trip this week. They usually have something for around $6/box (American Eagle, usually).

This is what I get from PSA that I ordered a few days ago for a cheapie complete AR15:

Upper = $190
BCG + CH = $100
Lower = $140
Shipping = $0 (special deal)
FFL = $15
Total = $445 then you have to remember to add rear sight and at least 1 mag with ammo so the total would be about $500.

PMC ammo (55 gr brass, not steel case) 20 boxes of 20 rounds = $5.99 x 20 plus $12 shipping = $131.8 out the door. Not too bad.

It came as a rifle kit with the TLR1 HL, and has an adhesive strip. You can get the same stuff at a hardware store I am sure, but it just seemed like some standard 3m double sided adhesive.

I found that shooting my new AK underfolder is not so fun with that folding metal stock, but doing a paracord wrap makes it so much more comfortable. Compared to that junk I.o I picked up a while back, this AK63D is turning out to be awesome.

Look like the prices are going up already.

I just check PSA and for a similar AR I posted above, the prices are up to $540 now, over $100 extra for very much the same gun.

The ammo is higher too. The ammo I posted above is now $6.19 per 20 rounds box.

I hope so.. I've a few ARs up for sale and within the past day I've gotten more offers than I've ever gotten, two that are above my asking on my 'pistol' with the shockwave brace.

That clinches it, am building up my 2 lowers into pistols, I already have a carbine and a pistol, scored the lowers for $49 blemished from PSA.

Yep, lots of folk hadn't budgeted for a June surprise. I knew lots were saving up for purchases prior to November, but this atrocity just moved up the timetable 3+ months.

I'm fortunate enough to not need to wait for the next paycheck to make a purchase. I suspect the real volume begins with the next payday.

After the men in brown brought me my mag order earlier this month, I am up to 190 30rd mags, 6 40rd pmags, two 60rd magpul drums, and two Surefire 100rd magazines. Should hold me over for a while, and give me some spares to sell if they get up to $60 a mag like I was selling them for after the last panic.

Also got about 5k rounds of ammo that shipped out today too, 5 cases of wolf gold, and 10boxes of 300blk

In the market for a solid sbr in .300 blackout. Also looking at AAC MPW but not thrilled with 12.5" barrel. Do I have a good option here or just buy pieces/build my own?

I needed a couple of uppers, picked up a pair of Spikes forged, will put them on the AR's I keep, put the PSA's on the ones I sell.

Just ordered a couple of lower parts kits, only need I pistol barrel and a handguard and I'm done.

I've had a bad vibe the last few months, and stocked up on reloading supplies. Just got in 2K 224 bullets today, 24 lbs of powder coming tomorrow to add to my collection.

AR's and components are selling out, only the smaller guys have anything as of tonight already
