Shall I get more 5.56/.223 ammo? 32.2 cents per round price (shipping included) is tempting.
That's a decent price for these days though not a killer deal. I'd say it wouldn't hurt if you've got the extra cash.
I want to pick up some more 7.62 x 39mm myself; I thought I had much more than I do. Thankfully I can still pick that up for less than $6/box of 20 at Walmart. :awe:
And amazingly enough, I've seen .22 LR at Cabela's the last two times I was there. Until recently, you couldn't even find it anywhere around here and when you could, it was insane prices (last gun show I went to a few months back they were selling 550 round boxes for $80). I've picked up two boxes of 500 rounds when I was there the last two times, and I don't have the receipt in front of me but they were $35-$40 which isn't bad these days (I don't think we'll see the $20 525 round boxes anymore ).
Those are brass, not steel case ammo. Anyway, I did some changes and lower the price to .321 per round.
Speaking of .22LR, you might want to try the local Walmart and Academy stores. I did have some luck there. PSA has some for about .08/round on sale right now ($38 for 500 rounds plus shipping).
With the new ATF regulations going into effect in a couple days, should I pay the $200 and register my PSA lower as a SBR? It's currently a PSA 16" rifle, but figured it might make sense to submit the application now under current rules while the process is known.
Already have a .300 blackout build submitted and the PSA is currently my only regular size AR (well, my only AR other than the .300 blackout pistol waiting on a stock).
Who in here has an AR15 pistol? NOT SBR but pistol (short barrel and non adjustable buffer tube stock). If you do, how do you like it? Pros and cons?
Please bear in mind that really poor ammo can (over a long period of time) damage your gun.
But I think that mostly applies to Tula/Wolf stuff.

Ughh. ATF rejected one of my SBR applications because I got serial number wrong. Tried to resubmit yesterday but the eforms site was down all day. Couldn't get mail out so I guess I'm stuck with this new system nobody has figured out yet.

Any suggestions where to put a vise in an apartment? I'm thinking of drilling holes into my computer desk.. I can clear off almost half of it to make the space. Or maybe I go with a foldable stand of some sort? Can finally begin to build the two lowers I have..

Email Ted clutter, and see if he can get you fixed up. He helped me out with a mistake, had approval within hours after emailing him.
Me, and it sucks ass. IMO, there is no point in buying an AR pistol if you don't plan to convert it to an SBR ASAP. I bought a Sig MPX pistol and submitted my form 1 to the ATF as soon as I took possession.

I buy those cheap made in Vietnam hardwood stools from Wal-Mart, Target, etc. $15 short wooden stool, drill holes in top to fit bench vise, bolt in place. Can easily store away when not in use, or even remove the vise and put a cushion on top to hide it was ever there.
