Oh genius.. if I can find a folding stool then I could keep it on the balcony when not in use. No real room to have a random stool laying about.

It's not perfect and I do have to use my body to counterbalance when torquing a barrel nut to spec, but I built many an upper in my days in an apartment using that exact setup. The important part is at least 1" hardwood top piece and strong enough to support your body weight as a counterbalance force when torquing.

Since we're talking AR pistols, here's the new member to my family. BCM 9" 300 blackout upper on a spike's lower. This is the gun I fucked up the serial number and didn't get my ATF paperwork in on time. In a year or so this will have a stock and a suppressor.

Assuming we've figured out the new rules by then.

Yeah that is a badass idea. I've toyed with the idea of getting a vice, as I live in an apartment too. I have an old wooden computer desk and a folding polymer bench that I use for reloading; I was thinking about bolting the vice to a block of wood and using clamps to clamp the wood to one of the desks (probably plastic one as it's way sturdier), but this stool idea I like. I'd think you'd want quite a sturdy stool, though.

I was looking at a Keter workbench prior to the stool idea. Still might go for it.. the folding stools I've found so far don't appear very sturdy. Also saw a photo of someone having it mounted to a large sheet of wood that is clamped down to a table.. somewhat like that idea too. If I can either keep it on the balcony when not in use or hidden between shelves or something, I'm all for it.

Got my new carry gun this weekend. Happy with the size, weight, and accuracy.

I have a couple of those as well. I am looking forward to adding a 938 to the mix eventually. Haven't picked up many fun toys as of late. Having a 2 year old and a second one due soon kind of puts a cramp on my toy buying at the moment.

I will say that despite the size they are wickedly accurate with the right ammo. I've only had issues with one type of ammo for it that which I won't buy again. My wife likes hers too.

I couldn't decide to put this in the lottery thread or here. I went with here because the Megamillions thread is dead.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I've thinking about selling a couple of my guns. What's the best place to get a reasonable offer from everyone's experience?

In a serious case of YMMV, depending on where you live you can use Backpage. I haven't sold anything on it as the guns I have sold went to people I know caving in, but I have listed stuff on there and in most cases had offers very close to what I was listing it at. I did list them a bit high to give room to talk, so what I was offered worked for me. I haven't followed through because people I know wanted it before I committed to the sale. I'd rather know it was going to a good home with non-psycho people than a stranger on the streets..

I got my new sparc AR optic yesterday, and got it mounted on the colt. I need to dial it in, but I was really impressed with the one I shot last weekend that my brother in law bought. I was able to score one of these new for $175 shipped, seems very nice for the money.

Anyone have thoughts on CZ75s? Thinking of selling my BHP (1970s forged made by FN in Belgium) in favor of something more modern. Maybe the Omega ready for a suppressor...

I have a p-01 and its a great pistol. People generally live czs once they try them out.

The SP01 was a dream - first three shots at ~22 feet were dead center, and then the rest were all pretty much grouping around the center aside from a stray hit or two (everything was on target in the end.) It was great.

Grabbed the P01 next and...what the F? I'd been shooting a bunch that day - my two revolvers, my 1911, the SP01 and I was hitting fine with them. But the P01...first shot, not on paper even. Next shot, far left of target, and low. Concentrating even harder now and watching my breathing....well, hey at least I'm grouping bottom left....

A friend who was there was able to shoot it just fine, so I'm sure it was operator error, but I was looking right down the sights...handled it the same as I did the SP01. I know my shortened 1911 took time to get used to but this was a new level of awful for me.

I have the BD and it shoots really well. I've been tempted lately to get the SP01.

I got a JP silent capture buffer and spring on the way for my suppressed 300 blackout. With subsonics it is already so quiet, but the spring noise is huge. Curious to see how much the silent capture setup reduces the spring noise

Have you tried this yet? I should have a suppressor at some point in the near future and have a 300 BLK 8" AR pistol and was curious about how that worked out for you.

I have gotten to try it out, and it is a night and day difference. I am going to have to get them for all of my other rifles at some point, but it will have to be a slow rollout, since they are pricey.

I am just swapping the one I have between the carbines, but I am very happy with how much it reduces the buffer spring noise. Well worth getting.

Nice. I haven't heard of them before so I'll have to look it up. Thanks for the report man!

Finished my M16A4gery. This started out as a PSA 20" premium CHF kit, with the FN stamped hammer forged 1:7 barrel, and a spikes honey badger lower. I started off with just thinking this would be an irons rifle, and I put a carry handle on it, but I changed my mind and decided I wanted to make it as close to an A4gery as I could. I got a KAC RAS M5 for it off of Reddit, and picked up the used Trijicon TA31RCO-A4CP (about 2 years old, tritium is still bright). I put an OTIS NSN buttstock cleaning kit in the stock for reasons, and added an old loop sling I had. The grip is not actually reminiscent of a clone, instead of an A2 grip I have a magpul MIAD and a magpul aluminum enhanced trigger guard. Very happy with how this rifle turned out though.
