Well, I only had $100 on me, lol.Crappy B-Day. You should have walked out with it.
I'm not a 1911 guy, but that is a purty piece.
New bastard I've gotten. I won this in a raffle cause I got lucky. I'm not sure if I'll keep it or sell it off yet. I'm really torn. On the one hand the last thing I need is yet another 1911, buuuuuuuuuut I am a gun hoarder and have issues about completing my collection
Fun time today, got the wife sold on getting an AR15, get to do some shopping in a few weeks.
TBH, I don't remember. My friend's rifle. Pretty sure it was a red dot though. What kind of optic is that on top of the scope?
I'd be embarrassed to walk onto a range with something like that, but to each his own.Phase 1 complete, mags will be here on Wednesday, ordering the upper at the end of the week. Expensive ass hobby.
It actually doesn't look cheesy once it's on a gun. Especially left black. Besides, I'm not there to impress anyone else, just have stuff that I like.I'd be embarrassed to walk onto a range with something like that, but to each his own.
Had some fun at the range this morning. Took two guns I haven't had a chance to take out yet: (1) MP5 (ok... mp5 clone) SBR with suppressor - just got the stamp back on the suppressor a few weeks ago and (2) M&P15-22 with Slidefire (bump fire) stock.
Lots of fun shooting both guns. The slide fire stock is insane. Magazine emptied in a couple seconds. Doesn't really jump around so you can keep all shots on target. Not practical at all but amazing fun. If I ever get around to it I'm putting a bump fire stock on a Sig MPX (9mm) that I have sitting around.
MP5 was insanely accurate (regular sights). Only question I have is - does a suppressor materially affect the point of impact? When I put the suppressor on all shots were shooting about 3 inches to the right of the sights. This was at 12 yards, so I imagine it's a huge difference at higher distance. Kind of annoying. I guess you have to adjust sights to the suppressor and just leave it on there rather than switch back and forth and re-center each time.
Looks like a good time! How much did you spend in ammo for all that fun?

Not even buying much myself as far as firearms these days, but have watched Forgotten Weapons a lot lately, just as it is pretty interesting.
The FG-42 SMG remakes look pretty cool, but those things are going about 5 grand a pop it seems, so I can just look at some stuff
Lots of good historical firearms info there at any rate.
