Ok, AK47 gurus, tell me why one gun is $100 more expensive than the other? Both have folding stock, very similar add ons and such from Magpul. The only thing I see is the $850 gun has longer handguard.

$750 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/psak-47-gb2-moekov-rifle-516444689.html

$850 - http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ak47-zhukov-rifle.html

Beats me, other than the forend there isn't any difference that I can see. Both will be great rifles though, these did pass the AKOU torture test.

Picked up the shockwave yesterday, and got the GG&G side saddle installed. Cant wait to try this thing out with some mini shells.

Compared to my Glock 40 MOS Problem Solver -

Not sure how I missed this, but it appears the Sig Brace is no longer bad when shouldered.. YMMV though..

Thought that was known for awhile.

The law about rifle versus pistol designation was always about designed intended use, not actual use. The brace is designed to be used as a forearm wrap to help stabilize the recoil. It does that as intended by design. It can and does get used for that. The law was never specific about actual use though. Otherwise it would be illegal then if I held up any pistol to my shoulder to fire it. While with some guns that is insanely stupid to do, it was never actually expressed as illegal by the law.

Still, the whole SBR laws and such are for the most part non-nonsensical IMHO.

Also, end-users of a product are not able to "redesign" a product by not using it as intended unless that person is intending to create and resale that item as a newly redesigned product.

Meaning if I find a rusted out bicycle and use it as a garden ornament, I'm not changing the original intended design of the bicycle at all. It's being used by me as an ornament, but that wasn't what was it was intended for. Now if I make a new line of garden ornament products based off bicycles to sell, then that would be me doing a redesign of an already existing product.

Latest news from Glock via an email this morning.

This morning marks the opening of the 2017 NRA Annual Meeting, which is being held in Atlanta. To mark this occasion GLOCK will be announcing a special production run of pistols for the summer. Because you are a member of GLOCK ID, we wanted you to hear the news first, from us, before the general public finds out.

The Summer Specials feature a number of pistols and features the GLOCK community has been asking for. These include G17 Gen4 and G19 Gen4 pistols with front serrations, steel sights, and extended controls. Our Summer Specials also include a return of the G17L and the G24, as well as the introduction of Gen4 editions of the G17C and G19C. We are also producing the G17 Gen4, G19 Gen4, G42, and G43 with factory-installed night sights. In addition to these pistols, we are producing a series of pistols with Olive Drab frames: the G43; G26 in Gen3 and Gen4 models; and the G17, G19, and G34 in Gen3, Gen4, and Gen4 MOS configurations.

These pistols will be available at your favorite GLOCK dealer beginning in June and throughout the summer. We hope you will stop by your local dealer to check it out.

Thank you for your continued support.

Well, Saturday I pulled the trigger, no pun intended, on a Sig Sauer P220 Equinox. Of course there is a 10 day wait so I can't pick it up until the 16th. I can't wait to shoot it! Stupid waiting periods...

So, now I own 7 handguns, 3 shotguns and 5 rifles. I need a bigger gun safe.

I added some flair to my glock 43, all in red. Put in a Hyve monarch trigger, slide backplate, extended magazine release, extended slide lock, and both +2 and +2 baseplates. Very happy with how the trigger feels compared to stock.

I also took advantage of the recent reddit gundeal for laser engraved ejection port covers, and put that on this weekend.

Better watch out or you'll be labeled a nutter with an arsenal.

S.C. no wait, FTW. Show my CWP, instant background check. OTD in no time.

Eh, I've lived here for 27 years now. I'm used to it. The wait used to be 15 days, at least they lowered it to 10.

I haven't purchased a new gun in a few years now. I was due for one.

Jebus...if you need a compact S&W M&P Shield or Bodyguard the prices are dropping!

Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard .380 w/o Laser ‒ 109381 - $219.99 after code "BODYGUARD" ($169 after $50 MIR)

Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm with thumb safety - $294.99 w/code "M3T" ($219 after $75 MIR) + $10 Processing Fee

I'm still a fan of the Taurus Millenium G2 9mm w/2 mags $199.99 (Free S/H on Firearms) because it holds 12+1, but some folks don't like Taurus. I've got the G2 and it's reliable as heck, never had a FTF or FTE or any malfunction in the 250ish rounds I've put through it.

If they could adopt 6.5 Creedmoor.. that'd be wonderful for when I start getting gouged by pricing in 2018.

I don't remember if I posted it before, but I wanna trade in my .40S&W P226 for a 9mm version for an upcoming suppressor and the fact that I don't particularly care for the .40 (I don't hate it, but it's my only firearm in that caliber so it's just kinda like "Why?"). I went to Cabela's and the guy there said they don't do trades and he wouldn't buy it anyway because the market for .40s is so bad due to people wanting to get rid of them, at least here in Metro Detroit area.

So I happened to stumble upon the Bar-Sto website for P226 from IV8888's recent P226 video and apparently all I need is to get a 9mm barrel and use 9mm mags and my existing gun will work fine! That's fricking sweet cause I'd need to get a threaded barrel for the can anyway. I'm not looking forward to throwing down $315 on a barrel but shit, if that's all I need sans mags to make my existing gun a 9mm can-ready pistol then I suppose that ain't too bad. Nice!

Oh and btw adairusmc, ROFL on that Hi-Point Glock wannabe. lol what a sexy piece

Crap, I had just about convinced myself I didn't need an AR-15. Forged upper and lower, three year limited warranty, might be a good entry level gun. The price is right. Any opinions?

DPMS Panther Oracle AR-15 $324 (after $75 rebate) + $19.99 shipping

I've only seen the DPMS stuff that was the Carbon garbage years ago. I haven't a clue what this is made out of from looking at that page. I'm also a bit based about the lower end ARs so I'm probably not the right person to ask. ALL of the failures I've seen on the range have all been the cheaper end stuff.. I've never seen the higher end ARs fail.. I know they do though, but the odds seem less. With everything YMMV.. depends on usage and whatnot

Difference in price is a little steep, they are about 60$ difference in the handguard costs from Magpul's site.
