I picked this beauty up a couple months ago. Still haven’t shot it yet.

It goes well with my Wilson Combat Elite Professional.

Ok, so what is everyone's opinion of PSA (Palmetto State Armory) guns?
It's been more than a few years, so I can't speak to their quality currently, nor to their pistols.....but I was very pleased with their quality before now, when I purchased from them. Their "blemished" items were, to my untrained eye, just as good as I would have expected from anyone, brand new. Perhaps just a marketing gimmick? Maybe so, but still damn good quality.

PSA has Good Serviceable quality. Nothing special. I'm happy with their lower on my carbon AR-15 after the carbon lower split at the buffer tube mount.

YouTube's Paul Harrell has passed away. His channel just uploaded a video he prerecorded in December. He had pancreatic cancer that progressed faster than they thought.

I was going to buy a Beretta 1301 Mod.2 12 gauge tactical shotgun on Saturday but ended up buying two shotguns, the Beretta and a Benelli 828U shotgun in 12 gauge. The Benelli has the engraved nickel receiver. I already own this gun in a 20 gauge so the 12 gauge will be a nice addition. I don’t actually own a 12 gauge O/U shotgun at the moment. I will use it to blast clays and some duck hunting.

Picked up the shotguns today. Already installed a bunch of mods on the Beretta Tactical shotgun, namely, a Briley handguard, Streamlight tactical light with pressure switch and a Holosun optic. It is sweet!!!

Now I own four shotguns I have never shot. Three Benelli shotguns and one Beretta. Two of the Benelli shotguns are O/U shotguns, one 20 gauge and one 12 gauge.

I was eyeing up a tactical shotgun for around the house, not sure what to get yet. I picked up a Ruger this weekend for a fun gun. I've wanted a 9mm carbine for a while, and I spotted one on sale, so I grabbed it along with a Sig Romeo 5. I do a lot of plinking so it will be for fun, and if I see the occasional pest around at shorter ranges. I ran some mags through it and it's a hoot, I ordered some Ruger mags even though it takes Glock mainly because I just wanted to keep it running the best as there have been scattered complaints of the Glock mags failing to feed or jamming etc.

I've used a Remington pump 870 for 40 years. Only mod is an extended magazine to hold more 00 buckshot shells.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've not had many tactical situations around my house ... Only one, which I solved with a ruger .44 magnum, and I didn't even have to fire it.

I shot the Beretta and one of the Benelli shotguns over the weekend. Two of the Benelli are O/U shotguns and the other is an Ethos SuperSport with a 30” barrel. Definitely not combat guns. The Beretta worked flawlessly, as did the Benelli. I’m planning on busting some clays with the Benelli O/U soon.

A buddy of mine brought his dad’s 12 gauge side by side shotgun. He thought the barrel was dented and that it wasn’t worth much but it was surprisingly nice. He doesn’t really know much about old shotguns and this one was over 100 years old made by A.H. Fox. We looked it over and it had a slight wave in one of the barrels but it didn’t appear to be dented in the bore and the gun seemed in good working order so we ran some light birdshot through it (no steel shot). The bores were pristine and we cleaned and lubed it in the field after shooting it. He is going to take it to a gunsmith to have it gone through and a recoil pad fitted as it only had a slip on pad on it. The original recoil pad was missing. The bluing was nice and the stock and engravings were also in good condition. We all recommended he spend a little money fixing what little is wrong with it and keeping it as a family heirloom. It’s a nice shotgun. I would love to have it in my collection.

Thinking about a .22 pistol/revolver to add to my pile for some fun. Any recommendations?

Don’t bother with the Ruger Mark IV. They are prone to jamming and extremely difficult to take apart and put back together for cleaning. Sucks too because I wanted to like this gun. Ended up selling it after a few years of ownership.

I changed a couple more things on the Beretta tactical. I thought the stock, which is manufactured by Mesa Tactical, was slightly off the color of the receiver and barrel of the gun so I bought one of their black stocks with a side saddle shell carrier and a softer recoil pad. I think the gun looks much better with the FDE barrel and receiver and the black stock. I have the cheek riser up kind of high here, I am going to lower it down one notch as it feels too tall in this position, it is pretty easy to adjust.

I’m going to take it to the range this weekend to shoot some 00 buck shot through it and see how it patterns at 15 and 20 yards. So far I am really happy with the gun. It has fed everything I put through it with no problem.

I have one more mod coming, an m-lok mount for the pressure switch for the flashlight. The zip ties aren’t cutting it, a couple times while shooting the gun the pressure switch came loose on one side because of the recoil. The m-lok mount is made of aluminum and has screws to secure the switch to the gun.

Jules is ready for the coming struggle.
What light is that? un-acquired my AR with an o-light that I liked quite a lot. It had a similar switch set up on it. I used some 3m tape and that seemed to work well without adding bulk.

a friend picked up a Ruger revolver in i believe 44mag, stainless, beautiful out of the box but when really looking at it not all that impressive. the screw thread for the ejector rod is badly tapped and required reworking to get snug and a few other little nagging things that should be easy in a modern CNC world.

I am in love with my tikka. beautifully made and handles like dream. last group with sighting in at 100 yards was 3 shots in one overlapping hole.

An AR-15 doesn’t have anywhere near the recoil of a shotgun. I don’t think tape would hold it. The light is a Streamlight Protac HL-X Pro. It is 1000 lumens.

I have a Marlin 1895 SBL in 45-70, Marlin is owned by Ruger, and the rear sight fell off the first week I owned it. I have a scope on it though so I really don’t care about the rear sight. Other than that it is a really nice rifle, kicks like a mule though. It might be worse than a 12 gauge.
