That's awesome. I'm moving to Washington state soon and worried that they are going to wimp out.
Our bill got smacked down...no new laws here. Where in WA?

Weren't you going to AZ? I feel like a stalker lol, but could swear I read that in one of your threads. That would've been sweet firearms wise.
Regulate this Feinstein you gun-grabbing witch!

Anyone heard anything about the MechTech 1911 carbine conversion? Always wanted a .45 ACP carbine that wasn't Hi-Point, and Marlin ceased production of the camp carbine for some stupid reason.

I'm looking to buy my first two guns. I've read about a dozen pages in this thread, but not the entire thread.
I'm thinking about getting a .40 and either a .22 or a 9mm. I have fired a .40 and a .22 but not a 9mm because there was no ammo available when I went to the range. The .22 jammed repeatedly. The guy I was with thought it was due to cheap ammo, but that concerns me. Do all .22 guns have a tendency to jam frequently?
I'm looking for suggestions on quality guns. I don't plan to buy many guns over the years (though that could change), so I'd like to get some high quality, dependable guns. I don't care about looks/fancy, just reliability.
Any recommendations on a .40 and a .22 or 9mm? Also, what is the most reliable ammo?
Thanks!

Do you guys carry with one in the barrel? I dont have a license so i dont carry, but ive been thinking about it and it kind of freaks me out lol.
Yes. It doesn't make any sense *not* to really.
The less barriers between: pulling the gun - acquiring target - and shooting the gun, the better.
This is why guns with manual safeties are usually not recommended for carry.

I started to carry unchambered to get used to the feel of carrying a three-pound brick and avoiding any chance of discharge--maybe a useless concern since my holsters protect the trigger, but I'd rather not mess around with such a thing. I plan to carry chambered in the immediate future.
Alternative question: who carries +1?
I didn't for the first few weeks just to get used to it and for the fact that it felt a bit weird with one in the chamber but I have since switched to carrying with one on the chamber. Less to fool around with or go wrong in the case I need it quick, and I figured it would be basically like carrying a revolver anyway.Do you guys carry with one in the barrel? Questions: if you have a decent setup, it should be very hard for someone to notice you're carrying, right? I'd need to be pretty inconspicuous about it since a lot of my family hate firearms. That being said, how much does a good holster cost?

If you're willing to spend money, get a Browning Hi Power and have it worked on by Heine, Novak, Garthwaithe or similar. Costs as much as a rifle, but you get a top of the line 9mm. That is, if a all metal 9mm does it for you. Else, Glock, M&P....

I feel like I'm suddenly swimming in .308 that I am not going to shoot in the near future.
I've got 500 rounds of Lake City 7.62 x 51 149 gr that I'm sure I could easily sell for anywhere between $1.50 - $1.75/round, which would net me about $400 profit. The idea of lessening my ammo supply makes me queasy though. What would ATOT do?
