Ditto. I paid $540-ish and thought it was a good deal. Have had no issues whatsoever shooting steel cased Barnaul and it's more accurate than I am.

I really don't know how much lower AR prices will drop. I've read that it's already reached the bottom and others that say prices will continue to fall. I'm totally happy with mine at $100 more, so even if they drop a little more, you can't go wrong.

To throw a little support towards Ruger, I bought a 10/22 takedown from them and about a week after I got it home and before I even shot it, the front iron sight fell out of the dovetail (common problem). I called them and they asked for the serial number and my address and sent a brand new barrel with the sight on there securely (in a week) and let me keep the old barrel. No muss; no fuss. That was customer service!

bought the BCM Enhanced LPK for my 9mm AR build and got myself 2x 33 rd glock mags too.
still not sure on upper...I'd really like the 7.5" one that PSA has with the KAK flash can but they never have it in stock. They've had another one that's 7.5" for $299 lately, but I really don't like the looks of it.
probably just going to throw on magpul mbus and some sort of red dot, but not sure on which one.

Working on a 300blk pistol build at the moment. The lower is all assembled with a shockwave blade kit, and I am just waiting on the upper and a few other parts. Going with a PSA 8.5" barrel upper with a 7" mlock rail, YHM suppressor mount for my Phantom LTA, Geissele charging handle, Fail zero BCG, and tonight ordered the Trijicon MRO Patrol combo to mount on it. The rest of the parts arrive on Tuesday, I am looking forward to getting this one put together.

I started with just an anderson lpk that primary arms had on sale for $29 last week, however today I also picked up a giessele SSA-E trigger from a local shop to put in this build, so the Anderson fire control group is going goodbye on this build.

Got the lower built sans buffer tube and stock. Used the BCM Enhanced LPK with their BCM Mod 3 grip and PNT FCG (polished nickel teflon).
I'm a bit disappointed in the grip, as I thought it was like an overmolded grip with softer material, but it's just regular polymer like the magpul grips. It's also a steeper grip than the regular grips. It feels pretty good. I'll know better when I actually get to shoot it.
I want to make it SBR, but thinking I might want to go pistol until I get the tax stamp back. So then I'll need 2 different buffer tubes, I think. Then need to decide which butt stock to get as well.

now to decide what to do for the upper. buy a complete one or build it?

I will if the ATF will cooperate with some form 4's (M16 lower and some more cans). Does an M16 count as an AR build?

Other firearms are talked about in this thread, but most importantly, if you wanted to talk about something other than ARs, perhaps you should post something other than complaining about ARs..

Besides the AR-10 I put together, I'm basically still waiting to see if prices will go down. Also waiting to see if Trump actually does anything for us consumers in regards to the current retarded laws that make it annoying to purchase some items.

Nice! Definitely don't see things like that every often at the range.

I don't have any other gun things to add other than I got a new safe. at 4ga steel thickness the sucker was HEAVY. Riflerods were awesome and allowed me to get all 20 odd rifles in it.

I've seen a lot more chassis bolt actions at the range lately. This past Sunday there were two Savage Stealths, an LRP, and a few Ruger Precision Rifles in the adjoining lanes. I'm blaming the new semi-auto restrictions CA has put into law this year.

I only see the bolt actions come out at the ranges here in Texas when it's deer season. Other than that it's mostly AR-15s and 10/22s, hence my original complaint .

Sad that surplus has dried up for the most part after all the gun scares during the Obama Administration. People are amazed when I bring a Mauser to the range.

On that topic, I did add one to my collection earlier this year that I forgot about. Does anyone know what this is?
