I've always liked the look of an octagon barrel, and case hardening on any Henry lever gun always looks sweet. I opted for the base model Henry H001 .22 because I liked the hooded front site it came with.

I've been using this photo of a New Original Henry Iron-Framed in .44-40 WCF in my Windows background slideshow. One of the most attractive guns I've ever seen, but sadly it's not mine.

That looks amazing! I've been looking at the H001TLB now, which just has a 24" barrel instead of 20". Should be a bit easier to shoot for me. These have trouble staying in stock, but I think I'm gonna just order one from Cabela's with the $80 for $100 GC deal from ebay. Will end up being cheaper that way considering the transfer and all.

That is a great price, I would buy it for that. Ammo for those is plentiful around here at least, and they are quite fun to shoot.

Yep I have had an AR57 for a long time and have about 2500 rounds... So... I said what the heck another pistol would be really good...

Most likely will order it on Friday or Saturday just depends on the funds...?

I'd be interested to know how the FN FNH Five Seven transaction goes for you with that Armslist seller considering the price in a lot of other places is well over $1K.

Well so far I have had good luck with Armslist other than one person here about 3 years ago but I got my weapon back a stainless 45 minus one clip... But we shall see, also I will check him out both online and talk with him if I can...? If not then I will decide and most likely pass on it...? I found another seller for $850-900 so might have to see...?

So you need to be there in person to swipe your CC to purchase a gun according to Intuit and their "bank partner." So I have no idea what umbrella of cards / banks would fall under them at least according to the article.

It seems that Brownell's YT page is back up as well. YT is a really odd place these days. I am having a Brownell's order showing up today as well.

Additionally my backordered Henry H001TLB is ready for pickup at my local Cabela's. So I'll be heading out there Saturday and visiting the Troegs brewery again! Can't wait to get some plinking done.

After handing one in the local fun store, I am really wanting to pick up a glock 19x to complement my gen4 glock 19.

I've got one and it's an excellent pistol for the money. Accurate, very nicely stippled grips, 12+1 is nice for a compact, two magazines come standard. I've only had one jam after around 400 rounds and it was while I was shooting with my off hand and limp-wristed it, so it was my fault. Pistol has nicely "melted" edges and feels good in my hand. Trigger trips fairly far back, but it's crisp and the reset is fairly short. The 3-dot sights are worthless in the dark, but the rear site is adjustable.

Hickok45 did a nice review of the gun on Youtube you may want to watch.

That looks like the new G2C, while I have the slightly older Millennium G2. The only difference is the newer G2C did away with the keyed gun lock built into the pistol, a feature most folks never use. Make sure you confirm which warranty you are getting with your gun. Taurus used to really tout their lifetime warranty, but's it's changed and a lot of folks are saying the new G2C may only be covered for one year. One year is pretty standard for many manufacturers including Colt, Glock, S&W, and others. Here's the policy from the Taurus website:

REPAIR POLICY
Taurus USA is totally committed to the very highest standards of quality, dependability, and most of all customer satisfaction. The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy™ is a commitment to repair selected Taurus firearm models FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the firearm. Should you need to take advantage of our repair policy, please follow the directions on the shipping instruction link and our work order form, which can must be printed out and shipped in with the firearm.

The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy extends to all Taurus USA firearm models in production prior to January 1, 2017.

This policy does not cover grips, sights, accessories, cosmetic defects after one year, or damage caused by customer abuse at any time. Taurus USA will not be responsible for these items.

TAURUS USA reserves the right to field strip, inspect and function test all firearms sent to TAURUS USA upon receipt or anytime thereafter. Customers will be provided an estimate for repair if such repair is not covered under the applicable Repair Policy.

Range toy for the wife. PSA AR pistol, replaced the grip (I'm not a huge fan of the grip but the wife likes it), put a Hiperfire trigger on it, replaced the charging handle and BCG.

Please explain further... I'm confused on how shooting "limp-wristed" could effect the cycle of the gun.

Glamour shot; put 80 rounds through it at the range. One failure to eject early on with no problems after that. Super fun to shoot, wife digs it.

Hoooooly shat, that is a killer fricking price on that; the lowest I've seen has been $199. I think I'll finally pull the trigger on this gun at that price. I picked up a Tokarev M57 a little while back, for bug out/emergency bag purposes, but I like it so much I don't wanna relegate it to that role, lol. I think the Taurus will do nicely for the bag, and at that price... dang.

It's accurate and reliable from my experience, but what pushed me towards one was the 12+1 capacity and that it came with two magazines. Extra factory mags are a little pricey but not nearly as hard to find or as expensive as they were two years ago. ProMag is making extended 15 round mags for $15. The Sig P226 mags work in it as well if you want something that holds a lot more rounds.

For the money it's just a hard to beat gun. Not sure if they will still be making parts for it when you hand it down to your grandkids, but it's not really that kind of gun.

Huh, really, it works with SIG P226 magazines? I didn't know that. LOL "hand it down to your grandkids." No maybe not but I agree, it's not really the point of these guns. I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out.

My wife and I just got back from the range. She has not been in about five years. Anyway, we rent a lane for an hour and buy four targets and the bill is $6 and some change. I look at the guy confused and he tells me that it's free on Father's Day that we only had to pay for the targets.

Timing is everything.

OK guys and gals we need to pick up the pace. According to the UN, Americans make up 4% of the earths population, but we own 40% of the world's firearms. Of the 857 million guns owned by civilians, 393 million are in the United States - more than all of the firearms held by ordinary citizens in the other top 25 countries combined. The arms race is on. I will do my part, and let's see if we can get this number up to 51%.

I'll be doing my part after moving out of California. An AR pistol, something for concealed carry, a better hunting rifle and a couple suppressors on the immediate list.
