Looks like I will have to sell some pistols on consignment and use the proceeds to buy a Ruger 556.

If I had a bottomless pit of money I'd go for the Beretta ARX-100 or CZ Bren 805.

They look kinda neato.
I'm not a big fan of that Beretta, just looks wise. But if looks is all you want, PSA has the .22 version for super cheap. Probably be really fun for plinking.

Got a new BCG for my pistol; can adjust gas pressure without having to open up the pistol. Someday can afford to get a suppressor and won't be too lazy to do the paperwork.

I ordered a longer barrel for my Scorpion, and a tactical light with a little wire going back to the grip. And a magpul 3 point sling.
Will let you guys know how it works.

Got my AR back from the gunsmith. Was checking it out and my boy snuck in and lay on top of the case. Love the guy!

Cimarron 1851 Navy Engraved cap and ball revolver. $222 shipped from Bud's was too good of a deal for me to pass up. The historically accurate .36 caliber version was OOS, so went with the .44 cal version which is the same as my other BP pistol anyway. One less caliber of round ball to carry around. Can't wait for it to get here.

My Cimarron (made by Pietta) 1851 Navy Engraved .44 cap and ball revolver arrived and she's a beauty.

I also went to Sercal Wholesale and bought a bunch of western/Mexican style gun leather. Four holster and a gun belt in beautiful brown tooled leather came to $122 including shipping. Left to Right: Stoeger SSA .357 mag, Heritage Rough Rider .22LR, Pietta 1858 New Army .44, Cimarron 1851 Navy Engraved .44. I make paper cartridges for the two black powder revolvers for the fun of it. And it keeps me from making too much of a mess with loose powder at the range. Plus I can carry a few cylinders worth of cartridges in a small belt pouch.

Last weekend was our annual local gun show and to further my foray into muzzleloading bought a CVA Hawken .50 rifle with nice double set triggers. I haven't had a muzzleloading long gun since I sold off the Kentucky rifle I grew up shooting when I was strapped for cash in my late 20's. My father gave it to me when I was 14 and I've got big time sellers remorse for letting that one go. Never sell a gun given to you by someone you love.

The Hawken is in good condition but it was left loaded and neglected some, so I've got some cleanup to do. I have to get a new powder drum for it and pull the breech plug to get the ball out. A ball puller and all my strength couldn't get the ball out the front. So it's a bit of a project, but will be sweet when cleaned up. I'll post picture when I'm done. My next purchase is a good leather shooting/possibles bag. I can't wait for spring.

Seems the interwebs I was on this morning are all aflutter over the release of a 3D printed Glock 17 frame. I'm not sure I get the point of why I'd want one of these vs just buying a 80% frame. I can't help but feel like I'd trust the 80% more.. am I missing something? I haven't gotten into 3D printing so I might be underestimating how well they make things now. I get that I wouldn't have to buy the frame if I printed it, but I'd still have to buy the upper slide and barrel.. and trigger.. and all the other parts. Just seems like a bunch of hype over very little gain..

Very nice!

My son and I went to the range on Saturday to shoot my 56 year old 2nd generation Colt Single Action Army for the first time (first time it has EVER been shot in fact) and we had a great time. The gun shoots great, is very accurate and the look and feel are just perfect IMO.

Some like the idea of having a homemade lower with no serial, though I don't understand why. And anti-gunners will point at 3-D printed lowers as the next evil that must be eradicated in their efforts to blame the tool for the actions of the wielder.

Did you see Kel Tec is shipping their new new slimmed down KS7 shotgun? Posting for those wanting a Colonial Marines style weapon.

It seems to me, with the number of guns in circulation, the focus should be on ensuring that one has sufficient ammunition.

Just so long as we don't get the ammo hoarding stared all over again, lol! I like shooting .22LR and was pissed when every idiot started storing 50 bricks of the stuff in their basement. All it does is drive up ammo prices.

Voting is a much better way ensure both guns and ammo remain readily available in the future.

I was late in warming up to the 22LR, but it is great fun and is pretty much a must have.

Your point on the hoarding thing is well taken, but a full ammo can provides a degree of comfort that election night just cannot.

Man that is really nice looking. I'm jelly.

I think I wanna get a dedicated .22LR can in the near future (well, start the process). I have a Liberty Cosmic suppressor that's basically a multi-caliber/use one but it is definitely kinda big/long for a suppressor. I put it on my Ruger 22/45 Lite and it worked good although I can't get the damn thing off (and it was only hand tightened). I used a big ass wrench and it ended up unthreading the end of the frickin pistol, LOL. Ugh. Guess I gotta get the heat gun out next.

Anyway. Dedicated .22LR suppressor coming up next. At least they're a lot cheaper than other cans. Just sucks that it'll be like a year or so until I can use it. It's definitely best to just buy it and forget about it.
