You can't tell a right wing gun nut anything about gun safety as they know everything and know whats best for everyone even though they cannot tell you much of anything on their own as they're just parroting one of their favorite talking heads.

Well how about this? Fund research and development on a cheap and reliable biometric triggering system. Once that happens every firearm is so equipped to prevent someone who does not have properly given access from creating issues.

The NRA and gun nuts lost their shit when one gun shop tried to sell smart guns a couple of years ago.

Last time they tried that, a gun store owner got death threats for carrying a "smart"gun. I think there was some law in some states that said if biometric trigger lock weapons were made available anywhere in the US, then they would be required by law within 3 years.

We have a fundamental right to guns - and as such, sometimes a 3 year old will shoot their pregnant mother and injure her, sometimes kill her.

We have a fundamental right to privacy - and as such, sometimes a 3 year old will hang themselves about the neck until they are dead on the blinds which afford that privacy - about 12 die a year because of this.

Living free is a responsibility, one that shouldn't be taken lightly, I know we want to cry for help the first sign of adversity, but it is our duty to fight to remain free.

Gawd. Of course it was predictable that this kind of stuff would happen, given the number of guns in this country & some of the idiots who own them. Accidental discharge by children happens regularly. It doesn't help at all that the Glock trigger safety isn't much of a safety for a 3 year old, either.
