Now being 26, a virgin, and girlfriendless is a bit worrying (i'm guessing you just studied from middle school through college? Because in highschool its easy as hell)
But your still young enough to change your social life, if you so choose.
And you have plenty of time till your an old man.
You have a vacation coming up hopefully you'll be going to a place with a lot of women and booze. I say if your really worried about not being with anyone at 26 you'll make it happen. Put all your fears behind you and just go for it man. Even if you fail you'll learn everything each time you do. You wont regret it.

OP, if your update is on the level then mad props to you for learning so quickly. Actually, what you did was the easy part.....now comes the hard part, the true test of your will. Odds are she'll call you, and odds are you'll be lonley and try to find some way to rationalize taking the call....but there is no rational reason to take the call at this point, so don't.

If your that broken up about a girl you went out with a couple of times then your problems are much bigger. You NEED to get out there more. There are so many more that are worth it. You may be forcing it when you need to just sit back and let it happen. You will be much happier doing that than wondering if every girl you meet is "the one".
