I picked this up a few weeks ago-

I've been wanting something a bit smaller than my Glock 36, so this should do the trick.

My dad bought me a Crossbreed MiniTuck for my b'day, so I should have it in a few weeks.

is this for an off-duty carry or backup?

i cant imagine reaching for an IWB wearing a duty belt.

Crossbreed gets a lot of good press; I'm a Kramer man myself, but I've never heard anything but praise for Crossbreed's product. The LCP should make a very nice BUG.

I know ruger and glock makes great firearms, but the idea of hamerless sidearms drives me crazy.

Agreed. Looks like a nice carry. My pops gave me his 38 snub nose revolver that was his regular issue.

Jlee, may it serve you well.

I've shot one of those. Really didn't like it. Really snappy recoil, hurts your hand, and it hard to do follow up shots accurately (and you need to be accurate with a little .380 bullet).

I'm still trying to find a small, light gun for summer carry. I think I may end up with a lightweight 3" 1911 (great ergonomics, thin, and very concealable).

I've never used Crossbreed or Kramer (heard great things), but I really like my Comp-Tac holsters.

If I carried, it would be very high on my list of choices, as well as the Keltec P3AT.

If it kicks hard, the 9mm choices near that size (Kahr PM9, Keltec PF9) are gonna kick even more. Any lightweight subcompact will kick a lot unless you go very small caliber. I'd personally shoot both and if you can handle the higher recoil, go larger caliber, otherwise .380.

If I have to use this thing I will be close enough that I'm not overly concerned with pinpoint precision. I typically carry a Glock 36, which isn't bad to shoot at all...but being such a skinny guy the KelTec will be a lot easier to comfortably conceal (especially during summer).

Mine fits in my back pocket without any problems...

I am pretty happy with it shooting a stationary target at 7 yds out...Hope I never have to find out how I shoot it under different circumstances...

When I hear "Ruger" I'm usually immediately turned off. I just remember looking for my .22 and seeing all the Rugers with exposed barrels that remind me of the type of pistol you see the Germans carry in the old WWII movies. Seeing that gun completely changes my perspective. Jlee, what do you use as a holster?

I recommend you get the Pearce Grip extensions for the magazines. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/58065-1.html Much better than the Ruger ones. Gives you just enough room to comfortably fit that 3rd finger on the grip for better control and still keeps the LCP easily concealable. I prefer a pocket carry and would recommend the Recluse holster for those looking for a great pocket holster. The mini-tuck looks interesting for the times when a pocket holster may not cut it.

Here's my weapon of choice. No moving parts and no ammo to worry about. Problem is, it has very short range, and it's not concealable.

I have a Sig P230SL with a Kramer MSP and I absolutely love the combination. The 230 is big enough to get a good handle on, but small enough to conceal and the MSP is an incredibly comfortable holster.

I was very uncertain about spending the money on the Kramer, but having used it for over a year now I have to say that it was well worth the price. The horsehide leather is almost indestructible, there is still no wear showing on the holster.

when i carried, my glock 23 wasnt too bad. but it's pretty mild during the summers around here. the weight wasnt too bad, but the thickness was the main issue. i wore button down shirts like a light jacket so concealment wasnt a big issue.

the kahr would be my choice if i was going to carry concealed. they are thin enough and the right size for me. i just cant feel comfortable carrying a .380.

rugers are fine. i got a p94 9mm ages ago. kinda wish i waited for the p95. but they are typically tough as nails and reliable enough once you put a couple 1000 rounds thru it.
