When you are looking for something, you can't find it. Don't try and force something or it will not happen. Just have faith, have fun, and be yourself. Remember that being yourself means to be content with who you are. Some people are saying change your looks. To that I say who gives a sh!t. If you want to change your looks because you feel like it, then do it. If you are doing it because others tell you to, then you are being a sheep and giving into peer pressure. Do what is right for you, but also actively think about what it is that makes you happy. Remember that the majority, media, or whoever does not determine what is beautiful; you do.
You say you want looks and brains and on and on. You can write a list down, but I can tell you that when you find that special someone, it won't matter. Ultimately, love comes down to two people connecting. In the beginning it is about chemistry and later compatibility, communication, and patience. Just remember what Robin Williams said in Good Will Hunting. "There are no perfect people sport. The only question is are you perfect for each other."
On your question of videogames, do not be extreme and give something up completely if you do not want to. The key to life is moderation, not abstinence or extremes.
